Vietbus are very close to their families. You are expected to pay for most of the expenses during this trip. In short - this trip is for you to try to impress her family with your material wealth and demonstrate that you can provide for her. Is it mercenary? Yes to a certain extent but is expected if you think about it from her perspective on finding a life partner. Money can't solve all issues, but it can solve 80% of them.

Her nephew tagging along each and every time is a check that you don't do any hanky-panky with her during your alone time. That to me is an immediate red flag

At the end of the day - you get to cut loss @ $1k. To me that is a valuable lesson learnt and the earlier part of the thread did have much advise from Bros in terms of what to look out for when it comes to r/s with WLs. But she did not do so, so more or less, beside money factors, Charactet at least reliable.

I do agree that it is a cheap lesson to learn. Why she did not run away could be because she has not met her objective yet. Her goal would be To come to Singapore to work or get a PR etc. Besides 1k is a small amount to run.she do not Want to spoil her “reputation” over 1k. Vietnam people love to post things online when scams or cheats happen. Try that with 10-20k sgd. you may see a “true” character. All the best to your fishing And I look forward to your updates bro.

He should really cut loss totally to prevent further losses.
U know vietnam got 100 million people and females are the larger gender there. Further more majority of the population are working age.
Just the numbers alone, easily he can find another better (perhaps cheaper) one.
