Hi, first time going to bangkok. I am going over from the 15th to 19th of Apr just after songkran. Will the club, bar and massage be open or will there be any problem? Thanks.

Clubs/bars/massage will be open but quantity of girls working will be lesser as most had not returned back from their provinces. Probably within a week after songkran, things will be back to normal as they probably spend a lot on booze/food/payments back in the province so need to come back to start earn $$ again.

Those staying here, anyone knows a good watch smith? I need to service my watch and relume.... watch time is moving fast and lume is getting "old".

I send for service before at Espanade Mall basement next to Top supermarket.
Repair service not bad and price reasonable...chok dee.

Just a question regarding Suvarnabhumi Airport. Hope someone can advise me.

Last year December 2015 when I arrived at the airport and was preparing to enter the Immigration Counters, I noticed a new queue on my RIGHT showing 'special queue' for these types of passengers:

1) First Class/Business Class Passengers
2) Monks
3) Passengers with elderly folks
4) Passengers with children/baby

Previously, the RIGHT queue was for local thailand people but seems it has changed recently.

Can anyone advise me if this is still in-place at the airport?

Still there, last in Jan, I sneaked there as regular Q was 1hr. But then I fitted as old fart. 2 young gals were evicted.

For Thais, don't they use automated clearance?

Many thais are not familiar with using automated clearance. Only the trendy ones who worked "overseas" are familiar with that. Also for fear as such clearance will not have a departure/arrival stamp on their passports. So they prefer to go the traditional but tiring way.

Thanks for the updates!

Reason being the normal queue is too long. Waiting time can be a headache during my Dec 2015 trip to BKK.

I believe the automated clearance is also beside the Priority Queue.
