haiz dissapointing match even thou it was a pre season match...we in control till mu got level. SM positioning was bad for the first goal....2nd too slow in closing dwn mata and ball took a deflection of shako...3rd very late in the game when pool was pushing to level the game.dont know why reina has not played any games.quality wise i think we have better players than utd.theres sumtin missing up front.i dont read too much into pre season games..we still have 2 weeks to take off.

losing a Final game in pre-season to a LVG MU team is no shame...BR should be happy to see the real weakness in the team and not just happy we got results...

LVG wasn't happy with his team even though MU won...

It was a tale of 2 halves.

Liverpool was outstanding in the first 45 minutes despite Lambert being lost and Johnson horrible at left-back. Coutinho and Sterling were brilliant and sharp. Allen and Henderson were hard working while Gerrard was average. Sakho made some good challenges and cleared a ball or two which could have changed the score line.

I guess the two quick goals damaged Liverpool's confidence, especially the second goal which took a deflection. Manchester United pressed high, the same way Liverpool did in the first 45 minutes. The third goal looked certain and it eventually hit the back of Mignolet's net.

What the legend Trevor Francis said is very true. It's only 2 weeks to EPL but we have yet to find a 'marquee striker'.
