For clubs/happening places at Ram Uni area.. Check out places along Soi Mahat Thai 1, around Ram Soi 112 and also around Ram 24 which near to ABAC side.

There are a number of beer bars/pubs out side ABAC; Dream, etc. There's also a livelier pub between ABAC and the newer ABAC condo.

Mongering-wise, don't bother. If for fishing, unless you're young and affluent, not much point either. In fact, if you don't know anyone there or can't speak reasonable Thai, can pretty confidently say that nothing is going to happen.

Save time/baht and skip this area.

Soi mahathai at least has FLs, but you're going to have be able to speak Thai to pull it off.

Conclusion is that if you're looking for ABAC students, you'd be better off at Thonglor/Ekamai. If you're after Ram students, try RCA area.

Only good thing about the Huamak/lung Ram area is that it has a nice seafood restaurant opposite the stadium, next to the hotel. And it's proximity to Srinakarin.

Fuck! Thats what I call a real golfer! Wanted to play on my upcoming Loy Krathong trip but didnt want to risk a rainy day so will be ditching the clubs for the bars.

We usually plan only one day for golf so if it rains , it will be non golf trip liow! To play more than one is just too much for me ; especially when I'm drunk most of the nite for any early t-off. Kee kiat la......

Hi, my friend and i will be going to bangkok for holiday on 26th Nov 10, wanna go to those G-club but very expensive if no membership....
anyone who has membership wanna bring us along? we can share the bottle.. and btw we cant drink alot, at most one bottle of chivas... thanks!

Bros coming to Bangkok take note that Slim/Flix at RCA is charging cover BHT400 for ALL foreigners. They'll check everyone's ID at the door and direct u to a counter at the side to pay. Cover is inclusive of 2 bottled alcoholic drinks (beer or that Russian vodka thingy) but its still overcharging coz last I remembered a small bottle of Heineken costs BHT120 only.

Should u decide on a bottle. It costs BHT2,000 (same bottle use to be BHT1,700 in December 2010 - someone correct me if I remember wrongly) for a liter of Johnny Black Label excluding mixers. Mixers are BHT60/bottle and ice is BHT120 for a large bucket. A bottle of Black will entitle 5 foreigners to go in which is basically the same as each of u paying the BHT400 cover.

If u didn't finish the bottle, subsequent return entitles the card holder to bring in up to 2 foreigners but the bottle must be at least 40 or 50% full (sorry bloody noisy and my Thai sucks).

It wasn't like this last December when I went so when ask why the door bitch said its "high season" but when pressed further how long is "high season"? She replied "indefinitely". Bros who think this is bullshit should take their partying elsewhere. BTW Route 66 next door charges BHT200 cover + 1 drink.

Not too sure why they are suddenly running this foreigner scam. Going there so long and so many times this is the first time I encounter. Not sure about my other fav hangouts Funky Villa or any of the Thonglor or Rachada clubs. Any bro can update?

YES!! that is right bro! i just went there last friday,no passport mai-pen-rai. open nerng-kuat black label dai liao na The bottle expiry is two months from date of purchase.Per bottle admits 5 person includes u if i not wrong. Mixers are now priced at 360baht(at Slim) includes 2coke and 2soda/water whichever. Sanook mak mak na!
