Alex excused herself to get back to work and I secretly blew her a kiss. Then came the boring wait for the technician to set up everything in the office. It was Justin (IT guy) that told me about Delphi forums and about Sammyboy otherwise I won’t know that there are many things that I’ve missed. Well, everything went smoothly and I was given the rest of the accessories that came with the laptop. Justin excused himself and went out of the room. I think the only thing with email is that I tend to open important emails first. Cheong CS… I opened the mail and lunch is at 1230 later. Well, I will be joining Mr Cheong for lunch and I immediately called Cindy to confirm she’s coming. I asked her to wait at the café designated by Mr. Cheong and she agreed. The intercom beeped again. “Mr Lim, the candidates are here.” My first day on the job and I didn’t really know anything. I was supposed to be interviewing my new HR executive. Well, since I am the manager of my own department, I might as well do it. Jennifer knocked and came into the room holding a file. It was the résumé of the candidate. “Mr. Lim, where do you want to have the interview?” Well, I wasn’t too sure where they have interviews but I asked for a meeting room. “Very well Mr. Lim, I will ask the receptionist to escort the candidate there.” Well, at least I don’t have to do the PR stuffs.

I had a quick look at the CV and saw the name. Grace Chan, 26… bla bla bla… Sounds like a very familiar name. But I didn’t care much; it was still a job that I had to do. Anyway, I didn’t chose her, Eric did before he left to Thailand. Anyway, I walked into the meeting room and opened the door. I didn’t think much on what I was about to see or who I was about to meet. “Lim! How are you?!” Grace shouted. This is such a small world.
