been theree many times in the past n had good memories of the place, plus the women presently still have an affinity for sg men (albeit mostly for the $ but women universally are mostly $ beings, its just a matter of how much ..) the other thing is that there are truly not many choices. Singapore is nice but ex , one needs to be very rich to live n retire comfortably n of cos its less happening , one don't stand a chance to pick up young girls on the streets unless one is young n super dashing but then if young n no $ also a problem. Malaysia is a friendly environment for living as it has a Malaysia my 2nd home visa program for long term stay but the govt is doing an awful job to control crime n you have ad-hoc kidnappings n car-jacking n homes being burglared at will. Thailand is nice but it recently clam down on foreigners staying there cos there r too many of them so now staying there can be cumbersome, although quite a number of well known singaporeans like hamish brown stay there. Philippines is the easiest country to migrate to but the place is dirty, 10x more corrupt n kidnap friendly than malaysia . Australia - ok if one likes cool winters but its rascist n i don't fancy white women Indonesia - jakarta is very disorganised, lots of people asking for $, maybe bali n bintang is ok, bintang probably easier for visa runs but do not like darker skin women. Laos - visa run troublesome, women 95% flat chested so apart from China, that possibly leaves only Vietnam as a viable option but hope i am wrong, then can discover more options.. |

guess that's the reason most people work hard .. to avoid this end in today's world , money is mostly needed to attract human beings that we live in cos $ is the lubricant that keeps things moving , no one will work for free right .. Even stanley ho, the rich macau casino kings know that his 4 wives n children constantly visits him at the hospital n act filial cos they are all eying for a share of his assets when he dies . so women equally have a right to be materialistic cos they r only human of cos its good to be young n dashing but everyone age so if one continues to like young n pretty women (sorry this is my sin), then it'll be a matter of time before one needs to pay for the service . Cost wise, paying for the service can usually be more efficient too as many guys would have spent more on dates n stuff before even being able to hold a women's hand good looks is one thing n age is another, even if a guy is still relatively good looking, he might still have a problem picking up young girls when he's older as mms do not like the age barrier the other problem is that good looks is a door opener but will only benefit to a point, once one settles down n moves in with the women, money will still talk cos its a lubricant needed in life the other thing is what Warren Buffet like to refer to as "Value for $" or what the americans like to call getting the best "Bang" (ahem) for the buck If one has worked hard to accumulate the cash he has, one will like to stretch n get the best value for his $ (or at least be seen to be doing so prevent others from labeling him "stupid" for allowing himself to be shortchanged n be paying more for everything), that is actually my purpose in bringing up the topic in the first place , sorry if i did not state it clearly. SG is a nice place to live in but does it offer the best value for $ ( u bet the rich guys will be thinking about this , why spend 10k per month in sg when the same 10k can bring you 2-5 times the enjoyment elsewhere ?), then there is the problem of over regulation n the feeling that big brother is always watching your every move , mostly waiting to dish out fines to u .. ha |

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner
bro
U r right, thanks for replying that's the reason i seek wisdom from the seniors cos i feel that there is more than meets the eye . been previously told that i will have difficulty opening a bank acc in VN unless i have the residency issue settled, then someone say when bringing in cash, must report it at the airport to get a receipt for proof of funds or if don't report just bring the $ to change at the gold shop n keep it under the mattress like what many viets do .. which looks really dangerous esp if i need to bring in $ to buy a pad in vn felt it was ridiculous too when i first heard it, on one hand they r trying to attract investment n consumption n on the other hand, they have this super stringent bank restrictions . some whites r also saying that staying in vn can be a nightmare with lots of prying locals always edging to see what u r doing (hopefully this could be better if one stays in a keppel condo) , they dislike constantly having to maintain goodwill with the bribe hungry local police n says its tiring to always have to be on alert to avoid being mugged or swindled but on the other hand vn has got some nice countryside n scenery too n cheap medical care need to ask if under the ASEAN system, Singapore passport holder can stay in vn perpetually by doing monthly visa runs or can only stay one month n have to leave for a while before returning . |
