Stoke has a makeshift defense tomorrow as Shawcross is injured and Huth was sold. Newcomer Glen Johnson the ex-Liverpool rightback is the most experienced defender tomorrow and given the responsibility to organize the back line.

If Liverpool cannot win against this makeshift defense, then BR better resign.

I'm not expecting a big result from Liverpool today.
But it will be nice if the team can avoid a defeat.

i think this is a very tricky but winnable tie.
the current squad seems stronger than the one last year, which many of the players were then already demoralised after missing out on 4th position and seemingly disillusioned with BR.
Good to hear Stoke will have a weakened defence but hope old boys like Johnson, Adams and Crouch won't come back n haunt us.

Many folks, whether punters or Pool supporters i spoken to arent too optimistic on Pool. Many feel they cannot win, maybe at best draw.

I can understand sometimes to accept defeat but definitely not like the way in which they played in the last game. I also pray not another defeat .If it is a defeat than it clearly shows that BR had learnt nothing.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Gomez, Henderson, Milner, Coutinho, Lallana, Ibe, Benteke.

Subs: Bogdan, Moreno, Toure, Firmino, Can, Origi, Ings.

Anyone knows why Sakho is not included?
