that is bad news...they know you still charge different rate? what happened to them. my buddy is singkie look like thai but don't speak thai. so 3.5k for long time now? sad like this. I used to like that bar because they charged the same for everyone. oh well ... thanks for your input.

I am a regular there as my bookie always arrange to meet up there and I pay the local rate with him there. But if I go on my own then I get charged the foreigner rate even though I am oredi familiar with the staff.

Two reasons i will go Khaosan.......... One for the kao mak gai- chicken nasi briyani, two to "update" my CV.......... Thats about it but cheap drinks cheap lodging yes khaosan has it all.......... Overcharge LDs, overcharge mixers, trick customer say min order 5 food items etc............ .............Probably the difference between premium foreigner rate and local thai rate goes to the PPS/MMS pocket........ I did question both my bookie and the Ah Gua manager Pon why I have to pay 2 different rates? The replies from both were consistent. When I come with bookie friend.... I pay Thailand rate. And when I come on my own..... I pay outsider rate. Btw, Pon is always the one attending to me as he doubles as my bookie's agent if the guy is not around.
Pon is oso the facilitator for the Bangkok Liverpool Fans Club and I am a hardcore supporter of the Reds.

Go earlier if u want a KTV room where some of the girls are amenable to giving BJ inside. Ask mamasan in advance which girls can take out so you don't get disappointed later on.
