One thing recent games have provided is some clarity.

Can's positive influence on the team was amply demonstrated by him not being available today.

Allen - Lucas as a partnership is very limited. Milner is an average player who at times really brings the flow of the game down. And he loses the ball far too much. 

Benteke is not showing remotely close to his £32M cost. His movement is terrible. I don't know if he'll ever mesh well with this squad. I'd prefer Origi to Benteke ATM if it came down to that choice. Origi's got a lot to learn but I'd still prefer him.

Ibe is a great prospect but he's also got a lot to learn in his decision making. 

Firmino wasn't good today but if you're going to expect him to have a good game playing with Benteke ahead, you'll be waiting a while. I've seen it too many times with Coutinho in the past. If you surround him with players who don't move well he won't play well. It's no different for Firmino.

All in a much needed reality check I guess.

Like what I've said before I think Milner does not deserve a slot in our midfield.

Klopp looks lost and claims he does not know why Liverpool played so bad. This must be one of those days when the manager cannot explain.

Why did Klopp makes those change? He should have started with Sturridge and given his 45 or 50 minutes. Benteke looked like he was totally lost.

This is such a major disappointment. It was Newcastle which was super poor in form.

The question should be why did Klopp change the team when the players are playing well in the Southampton game ?
Only 4 Liverpool players turn up for work yesterday .
Sadly Milner was one worst performing Liverpool player and not worth to wear the captains' arm band.
The midfield was non-existant.
The final 3rd was solely lacking.
Clearly certain Liverpool players need to change their attitude and put in more work.
The lineman must be blind.
Newcastle were indeed the better team.

Definitely not offside..Stupid linesman must be an anti liverpool fan!
Milner is not suitable to be even in the 1st eleven let alone wearing the captain's armband. Can't dribble, can't shoot, can't pass the ball properly, poor reading of the game..What he is good @ is just his non stop running but without good effect!
That's the reason he was a bench warmer in man.city all the while.

I totally agreed Milner cannot play in the Liverpool team..... No vision at all and leadership as well.... What he is good at is chopping players down and penalty taker that's all. He cannot motivates the players at all.... Liverpool was too quiet at Newcastle. I rather put the kid texiera play or Lallana play better.... Lose never mind at least have some skill and creativity.
