Just on topic of IDs, I even got away with my DL couple of times (NRIC locked safe) at clubs. Don't think the poor chap can read angrit text, with obligatory looksee

Aggs is a shoo-in, by the nature of their business operandi. Can only recall once I was mistook for khun thai (Soi Diana Patts) but my singlish gave away.

For ago go bars, selective bar do stop, one of them is crazy house. Unless you look like farang, as I believe they don't allow Thais to be in there.

Don't walk in dark alleys, especially in the night, if you don't know some self defence, but even you're a taekwondo black belt or wing chun fighter, you won't know what they have. This is Thailand. Self made pistol is also possible.
Best is to stay a well lit place.

Some clubs if u go often and know the security people , they won't check but we are talking in general. They DO check for legal min age for both guys and girls.

Regardless it's a driving license or any form of ID, as long as it's with a photo of yourself with your date of birth. This year is 2015. Legal age of entering maybe 18 for some clubs so they are looking at date of birth anything below 1997 or 2540 for the Thai year. English not good but numbers I think they still ok.

In Bkk so far all clubs I went checked my ID, but not in provinces.

If u go often the same club or always come with pretty girls or dressed well, they easily recognized u on subsequent visits. No need them to know them or talk to them. Lol. Although not checking ID, a brisk tap down will still be mandatory.

Thank you bro for all your reply.I do have driving license but the problem is both of my buddy only have 11B and i dont think it's a good idea to bring that over.

Probably will ask them take picture of passport and bring a photocopy.

The thing i am afraid is that i heard some of my superior say that we are not suppose to bring our 11B overseas.But oh well,fuck it.

Who says 11B cannot bring oversea? Make it a habit to bring an identification along when u are in oversea.. dun because of only clubbing then u bring. The main reason is when u are killed, accident, admit to hospital, u will be easily identify and the SG high com/embassy can assist or contact your NOK.

If procedures had not changed then your superior is right as during my time the SAF 11B stays in SG at all times..... if you have to leave the country then you exchange your 11B for an exit pass endorsed by your commander which is supposed to be attached to your passport. This procedure is damn lecheh and many have taken the risk of going overseas quietly if it is just a short trip...... just make sure you do not get into any trouble.
