But all these things are not only unappreciated but I get complains and naggings which sometimes turn into full blown fights. After more than 10 yrs of courtship plus 5 yrs of marriage, I'm seriously at the brink of giving up. I still miss the romance but now do these pamperings to other females... w/o the relationship.

bro surfer888,
looks like u and i in the same situation although we are married for only 4 years now.( we courted for 10 years too) Same la.... do everything like b4, pull chairs for her, open doors for her. I oso kena when I buy her good stuff!! forget about holidays. not interested! say i go holiday myself, she say i selfish!!!  really dunno wat else can do.....

We cannot just paint the broad picture to say all Singaporean gals are materialistic, lousy in bed...Thai women are good in bed but with questionable loyalties...
They will be bad apples and good apples and let's not condemn the whole barrel due to a few rotten fruits.. If they are that bad, why are people still marrying local gals as opposed to marrying gals from other countries. So let us be rational about this, sometimes a good talk and a firm hand(not abuse yr woman) will put the woman in her place. So think abt it, if it so bad suggest you reevaluate yr relationship and perhaps get a younger and more able replacement..

I understand what you are going thru. I have been married almost 7 years and I have sex with my wife 2x/year. Like you, I'll be the gentleman. Do the romantic stuff. So far bought her tiffany ring 10K (engagement ring), watch (jaeger Le Coutre) 21K, Full diamond tennis bracelet (5K) for ther birthday. Then if happen, instead of thanking me, I got criticised and nagged at. I lost it. I told her in her face that it was the last thing she will ever get from me. So far, I have not bought her a single thing. Not even a shoe-string. She was stunned and kept thanking me and apologising after the incident. The feeling i have for her has past, I now live for the kids. So whose getting all the gifts, you say? Other women. Just bought my mistress/gf/fren a coach handbag. Sigh.

Read about all the complains abt not getting the deal from the wife. Why not hear from a married woman's point of view? I have not received anything from my hubby this year, he only sent a bouquet of flowers for me once...this year..tat's all. I have known for him for almost 8 years, customary last year...relationship...fucking boring...sex....still okay...I am having the seven years itch. He he he... Sex wise, we have sex at least once a week...I would love to have more, but he looks dead and not keen. I tried to wear what he wants, try to..so that I can have more sex... Most Sillypore ladies are demanding, I dun deny that...I dun expect my hubby to bring me out for fancy dinners or always buying things for me...but he rarely does that and he is not openly expressive. It is rather saddening for me, leaveing love notes for me would be great but he dun do that. Most guys have the perception that Sillypore women need to pamper..well most do, but most of them also need guys to write love notes, send cards..be more attentive...they are much better than gifts. Maybe for those out there, you can try talking to the women more often...tell them straight into their goddman faces that you are trying to spice up the relationship..if not move to a better gal.. Frankly, if I am a man, I would go round fucking gals than settling down....even then I probably would settle for a foreign wife..cos Sillypore ladies..are most of the times rather demanding...I for one can vouch for that.
