The owner of the joint 28/31A, Willie's place are owned by 4 owners and headed by a Taxi Driver lead owner who's the main negotiator among the 4. The fact that he's the one who's better educated thus was elected to negotiate between the developer who wanted to enbloc that area and his four owner friends. I understood he's rather greedy and had asked for a sky high price to agree to sell to the developer holding them for ransome thinking that the developer would definitely agree to his terms. That backfired and they are now landed without selling the uint thus Willie's still hanging on in Lor 28 but whether this scenerio would continue for long, no one knows but eventually AV have already notified that the legal GL scene would be concentrated between possibly Lor 20 to Lor 12, thus those operators in the Lor after that like " Old Eagle" and others in those Lor after Lor 20 have to go sooner or later as their Operator licence will not be renewed if there's any change of ownership or takeover etc. Just a little bit of juicy news ,

Btw there are some new GL started work last couple of days , Houses like 20/38, 18/05 and others like 16/6 , 16/54A, will be next batch like coming 11 August with 7 to 10 days documentation thus should be 3rd week of August starts working. Hope these small little news helps with Bros who frequent the above popular joints. I have tried some of the new WL and i shall writed up a nice FR on one particular WL which i find could be potential Ang Pai in the future. Bruddar, the house at 2831A is not owned by Willie. Willie onli rent it from a private owner who refused to sell to the developer bcos he did not accept the offered price.

You are right that eventually the unit at 2831A has to go as the whole row is gazatted for commercial & residential development.
