Add to this I must confess that I have been curious about this uncle's behaviour. He suffers from a condition called : stress inoculated resistance. We all find classical cases of this in nature, like a Mother bird will push the chicks out of the nest even if nest is perched high on the cliff. This natural phenomenon is repeatedly documented. A cliff hanger is a wood duck(pun intended) dropping her ducklings at high elevation in hope that the 'stress test' in their early lives will give them a sense of survivability. Some people get these type of early childhood tramatic experiences will play them out later in life. For example this old man's obsessive compulsive behaviour in wanting to rid the forum of made believe Monsters and goblins, are totally misplaced notion of fears of the big unknown out there. Uncle thinks there are stealth agents,and all manner of invisible threats out there. He is a modern day Don Quixote, who believes he is a knight with a mission to save the world.
