I'm looking fwd to the DVD version eagerly indeed, but the entire story not finish filming yet it seems. With DVD I reckon it would hv relevant subtitles (Chinese, English, Malay..etc.).

Its normal that previews will look good. They get the best little parts to show how good the movie is and in the end the story might be pretty weak or not even scary. lol...

Love of Siam shows the relationship of a weak family, a lonely girl, teenagers who start to know the meaning of love and friendship that will be remain in the memory forever. The story begins when old friends Tong and Mew meet by chance at Siam, a well-known place that teenagers in Bangkok hanging out. While Mew is a quiet guy who is obsessed by music, and secretly loved by Ying, a girl next door. Mew is facing hard time trying to compose love songs after his grandmom died. Later, Mew introduces Tong to June, a girl who looks alike Tong's lost sister. Tong comes up with a plan for his mother to hire June for being his sister, hoping to cure his father from alcoholism. June accepts the offer and becomes a part of Tong's family. Everything in Tong's family seems to be better since June has arrived. Story :

Ping, a young nobleman retired himself from the service of the crown to be a musician. He became a student of Master Duang, the famous musician in that time. Master Duang owned the mysterious drum called Perng Mang, the drum that brought success or death to people. Meanwhile, an arrogant musician called Muan tried to convince all the students to leave Master Duang. Some students did and horribly died with no reason. When Master Duang was defeated by Muan, he called Ping to inherit his music knowledge and gave him the Perng Mang. Also, Ping was told about the secret of Perng Mang that it was made from a woman's skin called Thip, the same name of the woman he fell in love with.
