in hcmc, u can try the Pham Ngu Lao area in district 1. nice place to see cos lots of people and action.

Tons of backpacker hotels but the difference is u have your own room. The price is between USD6 - USD12 per night.

the last 1 stay in is in Bui Vien by the name "Dai Hoang Kim 2", the price i got is also 180,000 VND per night pre-negotiated b4 check in. Has its own elevator and can bring gals.

there is a pretty chinese looking gal at the front-desk, thats the boss daughter and happens to be the gf of an old neighbour of mine now working in Vietnam. If u r there and meet my neighbour, just say hi... for the least he is a singaporean and will help take care of us. His place allows u to bring gals in also. to prevent problems, make friends with him. he has some influence there.
