I know what you mean. I've been dating my wife for more than 10 years and have been married more than 6 years. The difference is that right from the start, I knew she was not the one that I loved the most. I married for reasons other than love. Have had moments of regret but when I look at my kid, all is forgotten and the sun shines again.

I've thought of being single as being the best but when I look at my kid, I know that it's not true.

Given a choice and devoid of any reason and logic, I would want to marry my true love but still have my kid with the wife and also have the freedom of a single. That's having my cake, eating it and also having the brownie with vanilla ice-cream to ta-pao... almost impossible to have without severe repercussions. Nevertheless, I've made my decisions and try to live to the best of my decisions.

We have to be realistic about love. No matter how good it feels, it does not feed us. At the same time, never forget dreams... it makes us different from animals and at the same time challenges and dreams keeps us on our toes.

Dont be disheartened. There are nice sillypore women out there, just that you got to be at the right place at the right time. Perhaps you can start your "heart-hunting" journey at Churches, libraries, museums instead of MOS, St.James or pubs? Oh yes, dont bother to try at GL

Today is the first day of a new semester where i see her again after a long hols. During the break, maybe cos the lecture room is quite crowded, i noticed her first as she walked towards me but she apparently didn't see me (or maybe she didn't want to.. or maybe jus me being over sensitive) but then her friend pointed out to her and jokingingly said "haha eh u dun recognise him ar?"
it was then that she noticed me and greeted me with her usual heart-melting smile and said "wah haven't seen u since last sem hol.." she was still her chirpy and friendly-self, but all i could manage was a half-hearted smile and a small talk...

somehow, i always feel affected by the fact despite us being quite close fren during the past semesters-- sat together & teased each other during class, sent her home after class--- somehow i'm only a "friend" to her when we see each other in school; apart from that, she would never call or sms me ever during the hols or anytime for that matter...

It's cos she only considered me as a "classmate" and nothing else ... right?

At this thought, jus couldn't help but feel so depressed and also wonder "what's the point of any more talk since after our semster ends in a few months time (tis is our final term), i would probably nv hear from her again"

This "invisible man syndrome" (a term i classified for the phenomenon of people rarely ever contacting me, no matter how close we may hv been) has been characterizing every relationships i tried to build in the past 4 years...which makes me ponder if i am an intrinsically low-worth person... so unworthy of any concern from people around me?
