Maybe that's what the whole argument was about as Bill felt being ripped off. Never heard of any BJ bars on Santos charging 2000p for any services ,ST, LT , 3holers etc. If I was in the same situation, I would indeed disagree with the gal in question but I would continue the entire debate back at the bar for further clarifications as I too don't like being ripped off. Now, if 2 goons stop by my place and demanded money and it's only 2000p (hell, even 5,000) then I will pay it as it is not worth getting hurt or killed over this amount. It seems like alot to the locals but not really that much for us. I would then follow up on this with a visit to the bar later just to find out what's going on. If I got something back due to misunderstanding then fine but if no refund then it's filed in my memories as just another one of those times I got ripped off (again). Again, I would complain but don't make a big/bad scene out of it. Not worth getting killed over a few pesos. PT |

Man, that's the best offer I had in years (aside from the gal that gave me 3 free nights of "fun" as she claimed how much she loved me) You no longer need any protection as I consider you a seasoned pro. Many thanks for the offer but unlike my old days with my former job where I could take off almost anytime with a good excuse. I use to tell them I had to visit a sick uncle living in PI= (meaning 5-6x to AC a year), the current job have tight control over when I could take off (almost as bad as another wife). Currently they have me working at least until Nov I think of AC so much, somtimes my dick hurts. PT |

Above is true only if you use an ATM OUTSIDE of your own banks. That is why I always use my Citibank ATM since I have an account with Citi just for this use when I'm in AC.(also their exchange rates are pretty good via the ATM) Depending on the bank, you could be charge 2 transaction fees for using the ATM outside of your bank. 1st charge for using another banks ATM and 2nd charge by your home bank for also using another banks other than their own. Avoid all the fees and charges by using same bank with same banks ATM card. 10k withdraws is usually the upper limits for most and this is generous as some bank ATMs I used in the past in AC only had 5k limits. 10k is actually not bad as its what I need for few days use and not worry about having too much cash with me, either on me or put in hotel safe. Reminder: NEVER put too much cash in your hotel room safe as it is not always "safe". Remember, staff have access to the safe also. When I run low I go back to ATM for recharge. Currency loss is something we can't do anything about as the trade in currency will always take a small %. Its the cost of doing business when we travel. Currency loss using your own banks ATM is only limited to about 1%-3% max. Avoid using a credit card (any credit card) if you can for cash withdraws from ATM as this is consider a "loan" and yes, there will be fees and also interest rates charges for the temporary loan you just made. I only did this once and found this out the hard way as I had no choice as I didn't put in enough money into my bank acct for ATM withdraws and ran out of money. Again, as Freez pointed out, I usually don't recommend using Citibank ATM as it is a bit out away from what most are familiar with and therefor ok for seasoned people with good knowledge of layout and not for 1st timers. I do it because I need to get away from the bar areas once in a while and also need the walk. It's a 15min walk for me but maybe 7-10min for all you youngsters. The jeepney is also cheap way of getting there and back but not necessarily faster as sometimes with traffic it is actually faster to walk it. Cheers bro. Going often to Manila and not make it to AC in all those years Think its time to go back for a visit down memory lane. Manila is ok but I always try to leave it as my backup only (like when bars are raided in AC). |

OK, just read this post again and my reply to this post (#3405) Just realize this had me more confused the more I think about it. 1)Gal worked at one of the Santos BJ bars 2)some goons sent to collect 2000p money for gal services Now, the parts that don't make sense: 1) ALL gals must be BF (paid upfront to bar) before she can even leave with any man. 2) Gal can leave with you without paying BF but only if her shift had ended and she can do whatever she wanted. In this case, she is now more like a FL and she can charge you a rate but from my own experiences, the rates are almost Always Cheaper than the BF. Ex: if BF was 1500p for LT and you took her afterhours, then the most she should charge (or anyone of you should pay regardless of what she ask for) is only 1000p (or less). Why? because don't forget that even at 1000p she is already way ahead as the bar don't take out their share. 3) If the above gal is doing this on her own time after bar hours, then there should be no pimps (OKT) involvement as she makes her own time and money. 4) If indeed a BF was already paid for her release to be with him then the 2000p is for a "tip", but since tips are NOT mandatory then no legit bar would send anyone in trying to collect a gals tips, Tips to gals is not any of the bars involvement. 5) Now, If she was doing FL work outside from the bar and working for a pimp then why would an experienced expat offer to pay a gal 2000p through a pimp when the same gal can be had by paying a BF for 700p ST and LT 1200-1500p max????? So, I laid out my thoughts and of course it now have more questions than answers. Sorry if I bored you guys with so much details but I got stuck with this one. I feel there's alot more to this then what is being told as its not making any sense. PT Last edited by phantomtiger2; 06-08-2011 at 06:54 AM. |
