I google and like to share how to differentiate real and fake $50 ringgits

Yes better change locally if you can? $0.5-1 diff not much diff ? Better to lose few Rm 50 notes?

Totally agreed, over here anything happen also easier to take remedial actions and enforcement also better.

I think from now on, also insist on the money changer issuing a receipt when you are buying RM from them. I noticed that many money changers nowadays don't give receipt when you deal with them. Have to ask for it one.

Some of the more established money changers even have their company logo or letterhead on the receipts although the smaller ones just give you a print out from their portable accounting calculator.

For those using the calculator print outs, also quite difficult to prove that you bought it from them. But at least its better than nothing.

Thanks for the pictures...... but I think those are the poor quality fakes.
The ones which I had was definitely much better quality than those featured in your pictures and had all the features which were missing in the fakes in your pictures. The real notes have a grainy feel which is absent in the fakes.... they were smoother along one side of the note and if you look carefully the hologram crest is slightly out of shape too.
