There are several foot and body massage places around JieFangBei. Below are the ones I recommend

1) Opp Yangtze Island Hotel is Tai Ping Yang Shopping complex. From the hotel, cross the road to the shopping complex and turn left. Just walk along the pavement until you see a lift. Take the lift up to the 5th floor. According to local, their foot massage is better. 100 mins for $70.

2) At the JieFandBei clock tower, look out for KFC restaurant. In the same building, there is a massage place call Zu Zu Bao located in 4th or 5th floor. They offer a crotch massage which is quite interesting. 60 mins for $65.

All these places are clean joints.

Finally found one KTV NiteClub in JW Marriot. Go to the hotel and ask for direction. This place is not operated by Marriot but could be assessed by entering the hotel. Min spending per room is $2000. Tips for Girls is $100.

Million - fun joint (mebbe cos of Mummy w us), gals dressed in 空姐 uniforms (if you got uniform fetish :P), about 200+ gals,
Feicui - been a while since i've been there but previously had exciting "games" organised by Mummy once past midnite. Gals are younger
Eden - classy joint, gals a bit more sophisticated here and better conversationalists, gals are also younger and better educated (met a few Uni grads from 川大 & others still studying in uni), expect to pay more
Feidu - lotsa of MMs, almost 300+ gals, i had like more than 12 runway sessions, organised by Mummy before i settled for 1 that suits my eye! (i quite picky lah!) and all different gals each time. Got uniform, like white tops & black bottoms. Gals above average, 公主there quite chio...

After parting with my LT (老爹) in DS, I was on a lone business/personal trip to Chengdu and Chongqing.

I read through some of the older posts in this thread, mostly are KTVs and SNs, and the pricing seems to be on the high side compared to where I was coming from (DS), so it doesn't really entice me to explore those places.

I tried to do some research on Chinese sites for BBS locations, seems like the YanDa has affected the region and it has not yet recover from the clamp down. So I tried to verify some of the latest postings of possible BBS areas within Chengdu city, I have 3 locations.

First location is south of Chengdu, slightly out of the 1st Ring, KeHuaBeiLu (科华北路). I was staying very near to TianFuGuangChang (天府广场), so I head down south along RenMinNanLu (人民南路) until I hit YiHuanLu (一环路). 科华北路 is just to the east. This is a busy main road, with many eating places and hotel. Almost reaching the 2nd Ring (二环路) is where Hooters is located. I sensed something is not right, because this is a main road, doesn't occur to me that there will be any BBS directly on the main road. There were a few side streets where I made a quick explore, which all fetched no results. So I decided to head off to the next potential location.

Second location is to the east of Chengdu, also slightly out of the 1st Ring, ShuangLinZhiLu (双林支路), which is the branch road off the main ShuangLinLu (双林路). After hitting the end of 科华北路, i crossed over and head back in the opposite side of the street until I reach 1st Ring again, and then walk along 1st Ring all the way until I reach 双林路. At the intersection of 双林路, there is a big club and the branch road leading inwards was rather dark skirting round a park (I guess). Because it was dark, I couldn't verify if it was really a park or a newly demolished area. The first section was rather empty, with some government office buildings. I thought it is just my luck tonight. But almost towards the end of 双林支路, a couple of chaps spoke in their native tongue to me which I couldn't figure out what they were saying, BUT, in my years of cheong experience, I am pretty sure it is an invitation to go somewhere to check out the "wares". The logical side took over, as I didn't see any obvious tell tale sign of red neon lights or barber lights, and I am not absolutely sure if they are now all housed in the apartments dotted on both sides of the streets or they are inviting me to go check out their small dingy "ktv" bars also littered along the sides of the street, I decided I have had enough of walking for the first night.

I have been walking non-stop for over 3 hours (7:30pm - 10:30pm) since I started the journey.

*Afternote: I later checked the map and realised, there is a 科华街 almost towards the 2nd Ring, I probably have passed that but didn't turn in to check it out and probably might be the BBS street. Too late, when I realise this, I am already in ChongQing.

2nd Night, after the non-rewarding first night, I did some more research and have another lead - north of Chengdu, also within the 2nd Ring on WuDingLu (五丁路). This time, to be exact, I actually live near to DongChengGenShangJie (东城根上街), so after checking the map, 五丁街 is almost like an extension. So therefore, I decided to head north on the 2nd night.

It is a damn cold night. Earlier, the news reported that Guiyang, Chongqing, and mainly the South Western region is hit by a cold front, with icy rain. But in the spirit of the Father & Son exploration team, now minus the Father who must be enjoying himself in the less colder southern China, the Son has to do his Father proud. This time, I was rewarded by 1 (One) and the only 1 obvious joint. I walked pass this joint several times to verify that my hunch was correct. However, a few minuses, this is a rather busy street and it is quite obvious if any guy approaches the joint. However, due to the cold weather, I was in no mood to do anything, but to hide under the covers and hibernate. I am 98% sure that this must be a BBS, with about 4-5 gals, with looks 4-6 sitting inside, but I did not verify the pricing. From the Chinese sites, the pricing stated was RMB100 for ST, RMB300 for ON but their ON is defined as 3 hours 2bonks. The gal won't stay till the next morning.

That's the BBS action that I have tried to check out in Chengdu.

For other more family oriented activites, Chengdu city has a couple of tourist attractions within the city. For shopping, there is 天府广场. 锦里 and 宽窄巷子 are also very touristy and a mock up of the old city scene. There is also 武侯祠, which is suppose to commemorate 诸葛亮 which is being conferred with the title of 武侯, however, my local friend told me that inside too lies 刘备's tomb? It was under reno when I was there, so I didn't visit. There's also the Panda zoo.

Personally, I took the 2 day 乐山/峨嵋山 trip. It was considered off peak season, therefore not much people, but to me, it was still crowded. 峨嵋山 is scenic due to the snow, but it is really touristy, too commercial. The tour guide will give you a brain washing talk with regards to buddhism, but all they want to achieve is for you to buy souvenirs and pay for some blessing rituals. I don't consider myself a staunch buddhist, only perhaps attuned to some of its philosophy, especially the saying - 菩提本无树，明镜亦非台，本来无一物，何处惹尘埃？

Of cos, being in Chengdu, how can one miss out trying their hot pot 火锅. The local delights includes 张飞牛肉, my local friend pointed out to me it is especially famous in 阆中市 where 张飞 stood his last ground. My friend also bought me pack of 苦荞茶, and told me that's the tea that 小乔 makes... hmm... I thought 小乔 is in 吴?

Next stop : ChongQing.

There's a famous Sichuan saying - 少不入川，老不出蜀

I don't consider myself 少 when this is my first time to 四川, and neither am I that 老 as I departed for 重庆.

Again, I did some homework on the Chinese sites for info on ChongQing. Apparently, CQ is rather famous of 木桶浴. Wash up in a wooden pail, and then come the action.

As I am staying in YuZhong (渝中) area, infact at 解放碑, I took a short orientation walk round the area. From 81 road down to 凯旋路, and along 凯旋路, I found 2 BBS. Didn't check further as I was hungry and looking for some food.

Have been on the road the whole day. So that's all the update for now.

Although I firmly believe in "FOC" = Fcuk On Credit, (not Free-Of-Charge, my Finance professor said this in my first lesson - "There is no free lunch in this world."), however, just to experience it in the spirit of exploration.

As mentioned (or have I?), I was staying in the 渝中 area, very near to 解放碑. Just round the corner are all the infamous pubs like No.88, SOHO, etc.

On the last day, I walk downhill to 凯旋路 again and I confirm the following intel. In the afternoon, only 1 joint is opened at the end of the stretch of the road just before the big bend downhill. There are 2 gals inside and I would rate them an average 6, but looks pretty young, slim. At night, this joint is shut, while another 2 joints after the bend will be in operation. Not sure if this is pre-arranged. I have noticed there are locals patronising the joints. The 2 joints which are in operation at night, both have only 2 gals per each joint, and both the gals seems to be slightly older. Due to the heavy make up, I reckon maybe late 20s - mid 30ish.

*Note: On the last day, I took a taxi from hotel to airport. I am located at 八一街， once I boarded and said my destination, the driver quoted me RMB 80. I said shouldn't he be running the meter? He mumbled something which I didn't catch but I just counter by saying run the meter, it's not my first time here. I guess the driver was trying to say it might be heavy traffic all that bullshit. I said I know, which is true, roughly how long it will take to the airport, I have prepared enough time for my trip. He asked whether am I in a hurry, I ask him why he wants to take me on a round about trip? He immediately get back to driving. So along the way, I try to remember the major roads that he is taking, a couple of times I saw road signs pointing to the airport but he veered off to the side roads, but are still major roads. I kept my cool and calm, thinking what can I do, tried to see the car number plates whether it is shown in the taxi. Luckily, the driver was ok, brought me to the airport safely and the journey was smooth without any hint of traffic. So I reckon he might be trying to avoid the toll booths on the highway? The final fare came to RMB 50 + RMB 3 CNG gas tax, which I asked for a receipt anyway, so that I can check the mileage. So probably as a reference, the taxi fare is roughly around RMB 50- 60 and should not exceed unless unforeseen circumstances.

I checked on the Chinese sites that there are buses that runs from CQ airport to town area, but for 渝中， the bus stops at 清龙寺? I took a train from CDU to CQ, so I didn't take any bus, again, for convenience, I took a taxi from CQ 重庆火车北站 to 八一路, fare comes up to about RMB 16, not exactly very far.

That's all the intel I have gathered for this CDU and CQ trip. In summary, I guess CDU and CQ have seen better days, but I probably am a little too late. Not sure if it will ever recover, probably the outskirts town will continue to thrive. Another thing to mention, both CDU and CQ are also famous for the dance halls with "action". I have a friend who seems to have tried that before for the thrill, but from what I read from the Chinese sites, it seems like the dance halls are an acquired taste. For now, shall leave it at that.
