We might not win any silverwares this year, but look on the bright side. We have a strong young team for the future. We will be the TEAM in the near future once our "kiddos" gain enough experience.

Well if Liverfool & Chelski drop some points along the way , we may still have a 3rd placing finish for the 06/07 season.

Arsenal should be able to be third cause liverpool is not doing well recently and they still need to concentrate on the European league.

Think my fav Gunners best chance is 4th place... Here are my humble views:

1)Henry, van Persie out for rest of season. Can't see where the goals gonna come from manz. U gotta be kidding if u think Adebayor is up to the task of being a 20-goals-a-season striker.

2)With Gallas in and out of team, the defence is in shambles. Cant seem to keep a clean sheet. The Swiss paor of Sendoros and XXX look far too clumsy to partner the efficient Toure.

3)Without Clichy, the left back slot is very vulnerable. For most part, Traore dun look the part and more and more like the calamity Dmiji Traore(ex-Liverpool)

4)Again, without Eboue, the right back slot is weak. Hoyte, at best, is a lousy imitation of Eboue. He cant attack as well as Eboue. Dun bother talking about his defense.

5)Coming to central midfield, this area is very very lightweight. Gilberto, for all the hard work he does, can never be as physically imposing than Viera. Fabragas is very creative but he really needs to weigh in more with his share of goals, albeit at the correct side of goal. (not own goal lah) Denilson is kinda lightweight too physically. Diaby looks a very good bet to be a good imitation of Viera though. Song, out on loan, has good potential too.

6)The wingers are not like before. Hleb was the most skilful winger in the Bungesliga. Coming to England, he seemed to forget how to dribble and whip in crosses. His scoring contribution is non-existant. How we missed the days of Pires and Ljunberg.

7)Coming to Rosicky, he seems to play much much better for Czechs, scoring from long range shots. Maybe he trying his best to fit into the 'picture perfect pass into goal' mentality at Arsenal. He shouldn't try so hard and try to shoot more often. Also, hes predominantly a creative central midfielder like Fabregas. Dun expect him to do too much of the defensive dirty work. It isn't in him to track back and tackle. He doesn't have the burning pace for the wings too. Kinda hard to fit him in if u ask me.

Overall this young team is one for the future. Maybe not next season but the next next season, which by then Henry would have left and we gotta find a 20 goal striker to replace him, dun dream of Adebayor/Theo 'lightweight' Walcott filling Henry's shoes!

Cant imagine when we'll ever be Champions of England again but I'll 4 ever be a Gooner!

Yes we are third now...

Chances of getting 2nd spot is still possible with 10 matches remaining.
With on hand 1 match, this mean a total of 58 pts and just 8 pts away from Chelsea.

Having Terry and bright out, this mean they only left with 3 defenders. Chances for them to slip will be greater.

Let hope for the best.

It can be done but Arsenal have to keep winning and hope Chelsea drop pts which i think is quite difficult. but nothing is impossible.

Past few weeks have indeed been horrible for us Gunner's fans.
