Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

I think one reason why VAR changed this season is due to the insistence of playing the full 90 minutes. It resulted in a lot of extra time added. Live coverage is very expensive. So in order to not go beyond the live coverage booking time, time has to be saved elsewhere. The lengthy VAR reviews became the sacrifice needed. That is probably why lines are no longer drawn on reviews. Takes up too much time if there are many tackles or goals in a match.

I am not convinced that Spurs first goal is definitely onside.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

There are oredi rumours on the bookies bamboo telegraph network this will be a "happening" match.

Also consider the following facts.... Simon Hooper was heavily in debt and facing bankruptcy at the early part of the year. Now barely 6 months later not only has he cleared his debt.... he has even upgraded his car.

I wonder do they have any agency similar to CPIB in the UK?

I am sure they have an independent body unlike our CPIB that have to answer to PMO on their findings or even to carry out an investigation...interestingly was catching up on this BBC drama LINE OF DUTY, they have a fictitious police dept called AC-12 that conducts and nabs "bent coppers" and what they called "institutional corruption" cops that are under the payroll of the OCG (Organized Crime Group)..I can't help but feel that such "institutional corruption" is already happening in the PGMOL..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Hi,
This is reminiscent of the days of kelong in Singapore and similar pro beams in Italy.
The English FA had always been very strict on such matters.
I just hope the FA steps in fast to nip this in the bud.
This will affect the Premier League in many bad ways.

This bamboo telegraph thingy is from the older generation.... youngsters dun even know what that is.

In the days where there was no internet or mobile phones and landlines were only available to the rich & elite of society..... the common people communicated by using the bamboo telegraph network.
With the introduction of computers, handphones & electronic devices the bamboo telegraph eventually died out.
But it was revived back into use by gambling syndicates mainly in the PI and INA to avoid surveillance by the police.... and it became popular again amongst bookies and gamblers.
Now bookies in many countries prefer using this system rather than electronic devices which are vulnerable to being hacked by the authorities. HK, Macau, PI, INA, Mudland, LOS, Cambodia, Laos, VN all have bamboo telegraph networks and some parts of Europe are also starting to use it especially those places with large numbers of Asians.
It may be an old and primitive system.... but it is very effective in keeping secrets within the house and not vulnerable to modern surveillance technology.

Wah!
I am a retiree, not young but I still don't know about this until today..
Thanks for enlightening me.
We still learn new things everyday.

Definitely, old school is still better - no worries about hacking or leaks....

Other good news for the day is that ETH will surely get sacked soon after last night's debacle....

Cheers

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

The audio recordings of discussions between the match officials around Diaz's disallowed goal were made public on Tuesday night, and Stephen Taylor Heath, co-head of sports law at JMW Solicitors, has revealed there is a pathway for a replay to be enforced. However, it is worth pointing out that Liverpool have not called for the game to be replayed.

You guys think should Liverpool ask for a replayed ?
