Szobozlai hamstring injury not a good sign at this crucial second half. Endo ad Salah will be big missed.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Frustratingly Beautiful!!
I don't think I've ever seen a Liverpool team quite like this.... wonderful, frustrating and routine sometimes all in the same game. Well not much of the routine recently I think the bottom line up front is: I was really disappointed with both Newcastle goals; but overall that was a "wow" performance. For 35 minutes, albeit it was 0-0, I think that's the best I've seen us play for years. It was slightly frustrating that passes seemed to be behind players alot. But I sense perhaps that was the surface water on the pitch coming onto play. The speed of us was brilliant. I was really disappointed that from 35-45, after Salah missed the penalty, our heads dropped, the performance dropped, and positionally we were ragged. Second 45, we were brilliant (other than the two Newcastle goals which were totally avoidable). Relentless. Absolutely relentless. If any of our forwards could finish, that could have been a cricket score. Despite four goals, and despite conceding twice though I thought our best players were Gomez - who was just bossing it on the left - and Jones. Jones was "doing a Jones" first half, and mostly just turning in circles, slowing the ball. Second half I really feel he carried us. He was shifting the ball quickly, passing and moving, driving with it when he felt he should, hassling Newcastle as soon as they had the ball. I really felt he set the tone for the side. I'm not his biggest fan, but I'm really pleased for him. Finally its quite tiring to have to play the ref every game. It shouldn't be an excuse for our heads dropping in the first half, but it must impact the players when they see Joelinton essentially just being able to do what he wants. We did really well Reds! Well done! PS. Who does Trent think he is - Roberto Carlos?! That pass by Alexis for Jota has to be pass of the festive period, KDB esque Salah and Endo will be missed, especially Mo, just hope we can deal with this. Seems like Klopp dropped his wedding ring post match on the pitch while applauding the Kop Fortunately, the Sky cameraman found it for Klopp |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Been a season of interesting timing. MacAllister's injury opened the door for Endo. Endo did well as a replacement. Robertson's injury opened the door for Tsimikas. He did well too. Tsimikas's injury opened the door for Gomez. He did well last night. Matip's injury opened the door for Quansah. Did good too. Endo's departure coincided with MacAllister's recovery. Salah's departure coincided with Jota's recovery. Robertson seemed like he will play later this month too.

for midfield. Didn't think Big Macca back so fast. What the story if Thiago and when he back. He may be like new signing if can play 10 games.

As for Thiago, from what i have read of his injury recovery, sadly and unfortunately we might not see Thiago play in a Reds shirt again |

As for this season, i aint holding my breath waiting for Thiago's return. Would love to see him return in Jan for the PL games or at least be available for the Arsenal away PL game. But the club has been so hazy about when he shall return, so given up. Same applies to Bajcetic (for this season). As for Bobby and Fab, great seeing them at Anfield on new year's day and yes a short interim return now would be good. |

Kylian Mbappe and Liverpool in the news again. He's a Nike athlete who will be moving to an Adidas sponsored team if he joins Real Madrid. The damage to Nike and his personal branding will not be small. Especially given that Nike hands out lifetime contracts for top athletes. We seemed to be the only Nike sponsored team left for him. Barcelona will run into Financial Fairplay issues if they sign him. Waiting to see how much Nike will subsidise us for his sign on bonus and weekly wages.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
More like unless Nike make up the difference. Because if he wears Adidas, Nike loses a lot in future sales. The generation of Messi Neymar Ronaldo is ending. Which is the next generation of consistently world class stars? So far I can only think of him. Look at his world cup final performance.
Haaland is increasingly injury prone. Can't think of anyone else in the 20-27 age group who can excite fans
