No. It works for both way. Inwards or outward bound of china the limit is 20,000rmb or foreign currencies with a conversion rate not exceeding US $5000. Anything more will need to declare.

TT rate and money changer rate is different lah..

Yesterday TT rate is 5.08 at PPC also. Today is 5.06 as of 5pm.

even with the S$17 fee ... it's a good rate using remittance ...

S$10k remittance (5.08) = 50,800 - 87rmb (S$17) = 50,713rmb
S$10k exchange (5.04) = 50,400rmb
difference 313rmb ... can sit one ktv gal ...
