Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
Ha ha, sorry as I do need to work and lately that has been busy with company downsizing with the bad economy (more work for me as almost same amount of work but with less people)
Everytime I try to book a trip, company gives me more work and need to cancel (I think I already told you I had to cancel my trip to AC TWICE already Hope things pick up and we can rehire everyone back so I could plan my next outing to paradise (AC) PT |

Can't say I support DM 100% but it is value for the money. I agree with others that it is a good backup place but maybe not as your primary one. Suggest you book your regular place as usual for most of your stay and perhaps book DM for only 1 or 2 nights to try it out . B/C If you are disappointed with DM then at least it will only be for a short stay rather than a long one. Then you will know for yourself in the future. Remember that what may be comfortable for others may not be suitable for you so best to see for yourself and best to sample it for a short time at first rather than spending your whole time there not knowing what to expect. BTW: This is how I usually try out new places myself. PT Last edited by phantomtiger2; 19-09-2011 at 11:01 AM. |

Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips
As I'm reading back on some of the post, Just to let all you newbies know about trying to take the local jeepney from Clark airport to Fields.
As suggested by Ziebart and others, your best and safest (and cheapest) option is to take the aircon shuttle right outside the airport for 50p. Might have to wait alittle as it won't leave until its almost full. Yes, the cheapest option is the local jeepney just outside the airport gates but beware that it is a LONG ASS WALK from the terminal to the perimeter gates. And if you arrive at night, forget about it as the walk will be both LONG & DARK. Also, local jeepneys don't run too often at night so could be a long ass wait (and only if you know WHERE to wait). This method should only be attempted by regular seniors that are familiar with how to do this. Note that the airport area is fairly secure but its alot of hassle to save a few pesos and also the possiblilty of getting lost in the dark. Note: during the daytime is no better as it's a long ass walk in the PI heat (and rain). Best attempted with little luggage. Also note: sometimes the local jeepney driver will charge you a little more than the 10p as your luggage (no matter how small) takes up space for others, so about 15-20p instead is expected. It's still cheap and I almost never argue with that. Except the one time they try to charge me double the cost and there were only one other passenger on the jeep. I said my luggage is not in anyones way and he smiles and accepted the right fare. Hope this info was helpful for anyone willing to try this. 5BX is the morning exercise we did when we were doing our national service.
Gaji butah is salary earned without working. Malay word.
