I wouldn't touch them because 1) Many of them have health issues 2) Underage sex is a very very serious offence 3) 1/2 of them are not service orientated. To each his own....I had them before if you have read my previous posts - now that I've done so, I'd move on... P.S - Sometimes, you do get 1 or 2 gems...

There are those alley girls in Panyu, Shigang, Shawan .... totalling about more than 1000 girls. These girls are generally underaged and very desperate for money. They'd do anything.

This is my first time posting here and would like to catch up with you guys when you are in GZ, AND going to chong! I am station here long term and would be glad to know some chongsters here. |

Check out this website for details : http://www.gogobus.com This is only one of the few bus companies that offer such services. On reaching HKIA, the bus companies' counters are just located infront of the exit after you clear custom. Go check out which bus that will take off earliest. If Dongguan is what you wanted to go. then I would receommend you stay ijn Hou jie (back street). That's where the 5 stars action are. Four good hotels you can choose from : 1) Sharaton Grand 2)Cinnes 3) Jia Hua Grand 4) San Wu In the order of newest......Sharaton is the new kid on the block. the prices are also highest.....San Wu is the oldest and the cheapest of the lot. But it's the most conveniently located as it is just beside Hou Jie's town center. Sharaton too is just opposite San Hu. As for Cinnes and Gia Hua you need to take a cab, about rmb12 if you need to go to the town center for a change. All the fours hotels are "full service" with top class nightclub/ktv, sanua/HC, restaurants etc. All got "too much" beauties for us to choose. I have stayed in all three of them except Sharaton. I like Jia Hua for the facilities and room and I like San Hu for the location and lower price. So it's to each his own. I got the rooms booked by corporate rate- a huge company in DG. It's around Around 380Rmb for Jia hua ...the rest I cannot remember. If you need my help to book the rooms please PM me, i will try to get my supplier to do it . Enjoy your trip. Pls provide FRs on return. Last edited by Sinoview; 03-10-2003 at 05:05 PM. |

Houjie is actually part of Dongguan and that it's where the 5stars action are. I guess you must be talking about other part of DG like TangSia, SinTang etc. right ???? The prices of accomodation, drinks and gals at these places are slightly cheaper. But defintely not as grand as the 5 Star action in Houjie. If budget is not a very important issue I suggest you go HJ.... leave the other places for further trip. It's really depending on what you want. Sorry, I could not join you guys, the exhibition in DZ does not concern my business thus no excuse to be there. Anyway, I am just back from a "long" business trip which include HK, SZ, GZ, SH, Annhui, Taipei which took me away from office for almost 20 days. You guys enjoy yourselves..... |

Could you share with us how you do it ??? Is it by Express bus to Sheung Shui, train to Lowu, clear HK and China custom, then train to DG ???? There is some cost saving this way than go by Express bus direct to DG...but I think it's not advisable for those who are traveling to GD for the first time and those with heavy languages. Too many change over. Qian Tou-Lian Hu ???? Sound interesting. Could you kindly share with us some info on this resort ???? Many thanks... |

If you guys are coming on the 18-23, sorry bro i'll be back in sing for a week but if early, we can go for a cheong together.
anyway here's the info you need if you come from HKIA: From the airport, take the MTR to Kowloon to change to the EAST line KCR. Take KCR to Lowu station which is the border between Shenzhen and HK. It cost you less than HK30. Here you cross the immigration department into Shenzhen. Once you get into mainland (shenzhen), look for the train station which has direct transit to Guangzhou. You can ask around but be real careful because a lot of tricksters there. At the ticket office, ask for a ticket to Donguan, or Zhang Mo Tou. It will cost you less then Rmb70. I've not been to Houjie before, thus do not know which station ( Dong Guan or Zhang Mo Tou) to stop. But I believe you if you stop at Dong Guan station, you can get a cab from there, prob cost you less then Rmb 20 to reach Houjie. Remember, over you, must BARGAIN! If they see that you are foreigner and worst, first timer, they will "ciak" you... If you have the time, do come down to GZ the next time, I can bring you guys around if you want! Have fun and take care. |

Personally, I think the route you mentioned is not a good way for those who are new to SZ/GZ. The many changing of modes of transport can be quite stressful. I would suggest them, to take an Express bus from HKIA to DG. Only one stop at the HK/China checkpoint. Though it cost slightly more but it's more efficient and can save some time and much less stressful. Another way I would proposed for the budget conscience one was to take a express bus to Sheung Shui than transfer to the train to the check/point in Lowu. From Lowu take a bus or a train to DG. But then again....many change of mode of transport and the need to look for train/bus station in SZ which can be quite a hassle. I remember missing the train I am suppose to take to GZ when I was in SZ last month. The train station is very confusing... luckyly the next scheduled train is just 15 minutes later. But in the end I has to disembark from the GZ-East station instead of the Central station which my friend was waiting for me. You are right, there are many con men and pick pockets around the train and bus station in SZ and GZ. Got to be careful and alert. Heard many stories of con job and item stolen by these trickers. The Express long distance bus will take us right in front of most reputated hotels....Better pay for the "insurance". |
