I remembered when they first introduced R-rated movies (minimum age was 18 at that time), I just turned 18 and was in the army, still green green. Out of curiosity, I went for the show. Can't recall the title or the plot but it was a HK Cat III film showing in Jade Theatre (if I remembered correctly). Damn long queue and the cinema hall was packed fullhouse...guess was because of the novelty...in Cantonese they say: "san see hung". Mind you, the tickets were more pricey than normal movies. On and off over the years, I still catched a few R(A) movies in Yangtze and Golden but nothing much "interesting" to see as compared to the earlier years.

Think during dat time, VCDs were still considered pricey ($18 / disc) ? Now, ppl can download from internet or purchase at $5 / disc...

Yes, i remember too...dat time i still underaged (16, I think), but sneaked in with my schoolmates to watch the first English RA movie in Singapore. Can still remember the title..."Wild At Heart". Nicholas Cage was in that movie. Anyone remember?

ya lor ... 1995/96 I still got order disc from those flyers (letter box) .. order 5 disc @ S$20 ea and get 1 free

Well most of the time they just have like 15 person inside to watch a movie. Hmm last time i went there was like 8mths back doing nothing so went with my friend n watch some show which he like to watch RA movie to me boring better go for live show lol

So after tht we bought the ticket n went in. Man like only 8 person in there after tht saw a couple came in n the guy is a ah pek for the lady is a prc but the rest was guys. At tht time my friend ask me to sit near to the centre of cinema so i say ok lor

After the show started like 40mins which i almost fell asleep then my friend woke me up n tell me to look at the couple which is 2 seat in front of us n thts the time i saw the lady head up n down doing a bj for the ah pek> at tht time all i was trying to see any zhong gen but due to so dark cant c anything lor after the show ended we walk pass the seat where the couple sat i can see tissue on the floor which i told to myself there wont b a next time im coming back to this cinema y u may ask? just think wht happen u went in n b sitting on someone cum ewww!
