It’s very clear that there’s a generation gap among the industrial age, baby boomer, gen x, gen y & gen z in thoughts when it comes to Pes F & NSF issue.

Long ago, the MD/ CEO are mostly local who has been through 2/2 ½ NSF, 13 ICT/IPPT/RT, mod & unexpected call up for NS unit appointment holder. Now! The MD/ CEO can be a person from North America continent who holds the America kind of MBA/ MSc Banking Finance. Probably in his mind, an employee is an asset to the company because he’s a unit of production. The employees can be local or FT. But the normal local are usually overly rigid in solving problem & found not suitable; perhaps due to the propergander education system.

The Mindef’s employer reimbursement only covers the employee’s salary & not the profit which he can generate. On top of that, the employer still needs to pay perm employee CPF for ICT period which Mindef don’t cover. It’s never possible for militants to have business acumen to understand this.

Such employers are brought up in an environment where they are taught democracy, freedom of speech & human right. So, conscription (NSF) is an inhuman barbaric act that serves no human right.

When the button is press, these civilian personnel will have to report to their NS unit leaving the civilian company with no more power to service the Armed Forces. Take note, the civilian staff in civilian company are usually a local that’s security clear by Army Intelligent Formation.

The reductions to 2 yrs NSF only show improved productivity in NCO & OCS School. The NSF duration for LCP Pte remains 2 yrs. NS remains 2 wk for high key ICT & 1 wk for low key ICT. This shows almost zero productivity improvement overall.
