Well, partially is the winter and most of them returned to spent new year with their family during chinese new year. Nov to Apr consider quiet period. Crowd will start building up during July to Oct.

There no much FR because the journey is dam hectic and maybe most brothers feel that they rather pay more than waste so much time to travel to XCD.

Well, if u been to XCD, then u will know what is called cheap and fresh seafood. Seafood in ZH (especially at 'Hai Xian Yi Tiao Jie' in Zh) u call that fresh and cheap? Well Think twice!!!!!

I notice a lot of bro gog to CP for LT which cost a wow amount which they consider and think its cheap and worth it. Really??? Cos i never been there b4, so no comment. But in XCD, LT cost 400rmb, now increase to 500-600rmb depend whether u kena slaughter or not. Of cos service maybe not as pro as CP (I think so base on my assumption). Well, base on the price between CP and XCD, I think XCD still the place for me if bonking is not my priority where cheap and fresh seafood, cheap massage and very good and nice seaview scenery from hotel is my priority .

Enjoy brother who have not been to this place b4. Well, just imagine u are staying in a hotel room at sentosa with a seaview but u are paying for S$30 for a big hotel room.

I plan to go with my friend (1) from 18th-20th May 2013 using the 3D/2N option as you have suggested since this is the 1st time there. I will depart from Singapore 17th May to Hongkong and staying one night in Macau. It would be ideal if transport can be arranged to pick us up at the Macau hotel and then proceed to Shanzui for onward ferrying to the island. I look forward to hear from you soon.

Bro wuba, some suggestions and doubts.

1) Since u going to XCD, how come u fly to HK instead of Macau? Is the air fare cheaper than flying to Macau?

2) Y stay at Macau when ZH hotel is 50% cheaper than Macau (Unless u want to gamble or........)

If u stay at Macau, U can just take any shuttle bus to Gong Bei custom FOC. But if u got big luggage, just take a taxi to Gong Bei custom which cost u around avg S$10 depending on where u stay (max around S$15 bah).

After clearing Gong Bei custom, just walk straight all the way (about 200 meters) and u can see a bus station. Just buy a ticket (S$13) to San Zhui Ma Tou (time interval for bus usually 1 hr) and the travelling time is 2hrs.

Upon reaching the jetty, just buy a ferry ticket to XCD (REMEMBER IS XCD N NOT SHANG CHUAN DAO) for S$9 (35 mins ferry journey).

Once reach XCD, take a bus (S$2) to the entrance of XCD (about 10 mins drive). At the entrance, pay S$8 for the entrance fee to enter the resort of XCD.

Note: All the above timing swee swee 1, u dun have to wait for a long time (max 20 mins) to board the ferry after alighting from the 2hrs bus journey, etc.

Once u reach there, take a walk n look at all the hotel to ur preference (all hotel side by side only). A S$20-30 hotel room is good enough (for me) cos the room is big with a queen size bed and a single bed. But the toilet is so so only. No bath tub. A S$60 should consider quite good liao. If u go in end of May, dun have to worry about no rooms cos its off peak period cos its not the 1st week of May.

Total cost for the transportation is S$56 to and flo.
Reasonable hotel S$30 x 2n (usually only S$16-S$26 only if u know how to bargain) = $60 or a better room S$60 x 2 = $120

Total = S$116 or S$176.

Total time to reach XCD from Gong Bei is about 3.5hrs (bus journey - 2hrs, ferry 40mins, bus to XCD entrance - 15 mins, plus waiting time here and there 35 mins)

Unless u do not speak Chinese, else it is very easy to go to XCD yourslf.
