Looking for suggestions here. Taking a Yangon trip in April for 2.5 days and then going to BKK and Pattaya for SongKran. Would like to cheong a bit while and I there but also sightsee a bit.

So far planning to go see the Shwedagon Pagoda, take the circular train, and take a ferry across to Dallah in the morning and cheong and drink in the evening. For night activities, Looks like JJ Entertainment is the place to go, also saw a couple other bars suggested by sailsingapore. Feel free to comment on the plan make any other suggestions (places to see, cheong or eat).

Also, for Hotel, I am going to pay for myself and am surprised how expensive they are. So far SailSingapore suggested Summer Palace Hotel for 25,000 kyat which looks exactly like what I need (cheap, clean, convenient, and chee bye friendly) but I am having problem finding a booking site or phone #. Sorry my google skill not very good, can anyone help me get a phone number or website to reserve a room or suggest another hotel.

Got my SIM card at 180,000 kyats (nice number so slightly more expensive), top up FEC - USD 20 @ 19,000 kyats and top up local call - 20,000 kyats = total 219,000 kyats. Have to pay another 20,000kyats to open up the internet facilities for the SIM card. Cant find the cheap sim cards as mentioned by some bro' here. Even the expensive one's are limited edition.....

Now all three, M1, Singtel and Starhub can be used but very expensive.

It can cost you a bomb when calling in Myanmar when roaming.

Was in Yangon last December, stayed in Sedona.

Was looking for some action and funny enough there will some girls loitering outside the lobby of the hotel offering their services to you ranging from USD70 to USD100 to spend the whole night. Choice is definitely limited since there will be perhaps only 2 to 3 girls there.

Was taken by a local to one of the night spot/disco there, and my first impression is it was full of girls offering themselves. Make eye contact smile, and speak english and offer them a drink. if they're game you could then start negotiating. Communication definitely a problem.

So easy way out is get my local guide to help out, identify a girl you fancy out of the crowd, ask whether he could make arrangements. Almost all was available, it just come to pricing. Took one girl I fancy for USD 100 for the whole night. Armed with a 3 packs of condoms, I hastily get back to Sedona.

At the hotel, the girl need to leave her identity card to the reception. This is normal, though I am surprised therefore no such thing as a discreet guest in your room. Later I understood, that before the girl leaves, the reception will call me to ask whether it is ok for "my friend" to leave. It is a precaution for you in case the girl wakes up and leave during the night and perhaps steal some stuff. Hahaha good of the hotel to take care of us while we fuck our self silly during the night.
