To keep to our practice, usually, I hand over the $$ and after it is accepted, I will hand over the tip $$ (if I happy) separately.. saying "This is for you". That way, no misunderstanding and no inflation of prices.

Good to prepare small bills beforehand. Please maintain pricing to keep this playground interesting.
