contrary to popular beliefs over here, I don't think it is expensive to have a girlfriend or a wife if you find the right girl who is non materialistic. If the girl has a good job with a good income, going on dutch or each take turns to pay is not going to be expensive. Even wives are not expensive if they've a job and a steady income. They will buy whatever they need, clothes, etc.. from their income. Females are pretty financially independent nowadays.
Of course, there are the money grabbers. The ones who don't spend a single cent of their money and expects the men to pay for everything. Just don't get those for girlfriends or wives.
Actually, the most expensive to maintain are your children. For 20 years, you've to pay for their education, their toys, their ECA activities, their philanderings in their teenage years and most of all, your precious time is sucked up in being with them in their formative years. The best part is that when it's time to leave, they'll just pack up and go. In spite of all these, they are still worth it, simply because they are your children. Whores, paid mistresses can never take the place of loved ones.

I don't subscribe to the idea of getting a whore in place of a girl friend or a wife, even though the whores are cheaper to maintain in the long run, but even that is questionable if the girl involved is a sensible, financially stable person. The whores are there to spice up your life now and then, but it is not and cannot be a long term solution.

At the end of the day, it's whether you meet someone who knows what wholesome means or whether you meet someone who needs external factors to feel wholesome.
They are everywhere, no just in WLs, even days to day working class exists!!!!

true, and I don't think it is that difficult to meet someone who is not after your money. Look for someone in middle management or if in the early twenties, someone who is ambitious and has the potential to climb the corporate ladder. Someone in the late twenties, who earns 5K and above, would not look to you for financial support. When you get to know the girl, you can always tell if she's full of fluff or is someone who wants to further her career on her own steam.
