You are not alone, many bros fall for China gals working here. And $ is always the issue. As you know, all of them came becos of $, they want a better life and also to have their own house back home. (Cos while they are living with their parents now, the parents' home is likely be given to the son).

Her asking of RMB2K is actually not a large amount; but what is important for you: is how you are taking this reln into? Are you intending to marry her after a courtship? Can she live here with you? Many issues to look into.

As she is going back, you may want to plan a trip to go over and enjoy your time with her first before the next course of action.... or like what you said, let nature takes its course...

Let me help you rephrase : She wants you to buy a car to drive HER around. Dude, COE is now at 70+K. Practically any car is 100+K. Since you said you make much less than 5K, that car could badly cripple you financially.

If you spend that kind of money for a WL, you are even dumber than I thought.

Maybe she wants more privacy with you and with a car, it easier to go from place to place (like park...seaside etc) taking cab sure is a hassle ...
