You have to blame the Singapore government for all the problems of fake photos and descriptions because nobody dares to take on the QC job of ensuring that the sex industry delivers on its promises.

Freelancing is illegal because the government cannot control or tax it properly, unlike brothels in GL. And I do agree that it's not just the government but SG society that is very hypocritical about sex outside of marriage and paid sex in particular. You would get plenty of people who would see something wrong with a girl working as an Escort but nothing wrong/turn a blind eye towards nightlife in SG full of fuckboys and fuckgirls who are bicycles for each other.
