As long as the the certs are in chinese format, they need to translate into english, because ICA are all non-chinese illiterate.

The requirement is this:.......

As long as the cert (not in English) and issued outside SG......... 1) THe cert needs to be translated into English .......... 2 )signed before Notorary Public (in the cert issuing country) .........3) counter endorsed at SG consulate or embassy......... This is the actual requirement but now ICA cut short the requirement of 2 and 3.

However, sometime ICA still insists on 2 and 3 requirement......... When ICA insist on 2 and 3 ........... this means that they suspect forgery liao.........

Hi Bros,
went to ICA with my marriage booklets etc..at the counter the officer told me to go to the computer terminals to apply entry visa through save. Upon her arriving in singapore then one is entitled to apply for the visia passes (short or long). So i am lost, i cant apply for short or long term social visit pass? I have to apply for entry visa first? Like that how am i suppose to submit my marriage booklets etc? And if entry visa is not approved how? My relatives here are all expecting her, wedding dinner here also arranged, pls advice.

You need to apply for a entry VISA first, since she's in China. Once ICA granted a social VISA of let's say 14 days. Den you need to bring her down to ICA, with all the relevant documents for the application of LTSVP. Den ICA will extend her stay till her application is rejected / or approved.

from what i see at new MOM website,
For Spouse:
Dependant's Pass Application Form
- The applicant must be sponsored by a well-established Singapore-registered company, normally the employer of the Employment/S Pass holder).

- The form must be endorsed with the company's stamp/seal and signed by both the applicant and an authorised officer from the sponsoring company.

A copy of the official Marriage Certificate;

A copy of the personal particulars page of the applicant's travel document/passport;

A passport-sized photograph of the applicant (taken within the last three months);
For non-English certificates or documents, a copy of the original certificates/documents and the official English translation certified by the respective embassy, must be submitted.
