I second that. Call me another an incurable romantic fool then. Yes, everyone has a past, everyone makes mistake. The important things is to learn your mistake, don't repeat, and move on as a better person.

Pardon me if I'm right or wrong. I understand many of the men who can't find true love in their routine life. This resulted many fall into WL or FL regardless she from LOS, PRC, Viet,etc.
Some married men too who go for commeriacl sex and fall in love with the FL or WL because they lost in love at home.

Yeah, as long as that man can love the girl more than he loves himself. This type of love, is like the love between mothers and children, very self-sacrificial.
Although it bears greatness, it has great risk too. In sg, it might be a risk that very little portion of us can take. But its heartening to find someone like you who understands the meaning of 2nd chance.

Recently, I also met an FL whom I quite like, but unfortunately her story of coming to S'pore is actually a lie, initially she says she's married with kid, later change story to divorced with kid, but finally she said actually no kid. Although after some time, she did admit that she did not have kid..she keep saying that someday she will tell me the story of her life in China, but till now she haven't done so..

Bro aces68, in your case, since she keep hiding the truth from you, better dont put to much into relationship mentally, just enjoy while in last, you never knwo what kind of bombshell will come from her later ...

Well, in all fairness, actually I have in my relationships (non-sexual) with both men & women (not in the sex profession) who in the initial stage, encountered such so-called "white lies" being told as well.

I guess in the initial stages of a relationship, many people ( not only WL) are not totally upfront with the other party & they don't want to reveal too much personal info as the element of trust is still not there.

Hopefully, when 2 parties get to know each other better & the relationship develops, there is greater trust & they are more truthful with each other.

Bro xyz1001, I just noticed your signature. You know what, I have exactly the same thought in mind right now, ie retirement.

I just helped my "gf" booked her return ticket. She will be off early next month. On the one hand, I feel kind of sad that we may not be able to see each other again, but on the other hand, I am glad that I may just be able to regain control over my life again. I am getting very distracted at work and my productivity at work has suffered over the past couple of weeks.

Logically I tell myself that this cannot be love as the time we spent together was simply too short and we do not really know each other well enough. Unfortunately the heart still yearns for her each time we part.

This type of relationship is far too tiring for me. I am thinking that I shall stop cheonging from now on. Too dangerous emotionally.

I agree...I also had the same experience..when my 'gf' was here, I would take half-day leaves in the morning when I had overnight with her.
Cos damn stressed to wake up at 7am and go to work after bonking the whole night.
After a while, obviously my productivity at work suffers and work began to pile up..and when I wasn't with her, sometimes I could not sleep at night thinking about what she's doing and so on... it's a very draining and tiring relationship.

Ya.. i have the same type of feeling when my GF was still here... as time passes, not sure whether to visit her in ZH is the right thing to do.. but when we talk over the phone.

I always like to believe that no one is born evil, it is the circumstances and situations that changes a person. Hence, I always try to consider both sides of the picture and if the person should be given a second chance. Why not? Even if they are simply prostituting themselves for the money for materialistic wants, there could be a good reason behind. I guess none of us in Sg have been subjected to abstract poverty and i feel that these woman have the right to want to leave that life of poverty behind, no matter what means they take. When they see other girls in their village coming back with so much money, definitely there will be envy, and ultimately peer pressure to succeed too. As i read in another post, if our forefathers did not take the chance to come here, we might also be like them right now. I am not saying we should all go out and start loving them/pitying them but neither should we be so harsh on them. Hence, i dun see why love cannot blossom if they genuinely like each other. But definitely the WL has to stop doing what she does and let time and love heal the past.

Bro, I am not sure what is your exact predicament, but unless you are sure that she is the one you want to marry (assuming both of you are not married), my view is that you should not visit her in ZH or continue contacting her on the phone. Being physically apart is probably the best way to discontinue the relationship.
