Weekend trip to CP

Guys...just back from a weekend trip to CP...met up with Bro Alvin and Ultimate separately and had two nice sessions. One with KTV gal at Dong Keng (thanks to Ultimate) and the other one is a sauna girl at Lion (thanks to Alvin). See my reports in the CP thread for more details.

Landmark hotel 420 rmb (Haizhu Sq - bus station)
Guangzhou Da Sha Hotel 360 rmb (Haizhu Sq - bus station)
Osen Hotel 380 rmb (Garden Hotel - bus station)
Osen Businese Plaza 400 rmb (Garden Hotel - bus station)
Star hotel 360 rmb (Tianhe Plaza - bus station)

Alternatively, if GZ is just a leisure stop, then I suggest you stay in CP, Dongguan instead. Hotels there are cheap (See http://forum.sammyboy.com/showthread.php?t=21954) and readily available plus you are guaranteed action.

You can then train into GZ which takes less than 40 minutes. Hassle free.

Re: POST-SARS : Guangdong Sexcapades

Thank u bro sinoview,

been to the website n got the numbers.

have read a bit about yindu and really like the strategic location. most likely to stay there.

as for the part about GZ.. no choice.. there for sum other tour and break away .. so gotta go back to GZ. How far away is GZ from ZhuHai?? by train.. more than an hour?? but i think yindu is like 150km from the train station??

I like Yindo or Yuehai hotel. For super price hotel rates, check out this website and contact Xiao Chai...his rate is the best i can find so far... plus he can arrange KTv for you at reasonable rate too... Ganrantee you wont kena "chop"...

Travelling fm ZH to go GZ airport is quite a distance ? I do not know why you want to go by the GZ airport ??? Going through Macau or SZ is so much nearer.
Especially now Tigerairway...giving great offer to Macau....

Enjoy your trip....

for those bro going to ZH...

Just came back from lunch and read a news in the local paper that one Taiwanese pilot (Far Eastern Airline) kena killed while another one was injured in Zhuhai after a rondevous with a SW. Apparently, the gal suspected that she got paid in fake RMBs and brought in 3 guys with weapons to teach the Taiwanese a lesson. Ironically, the one kena killed was not the one who paid the gal....he only went in to help his friend

So..the lesson is always be careful while in China....those gals can turn nasty

Actually I am also pretty confused...sometimes I saw RMB 70 on the board, but the ticketing ahso said RMB 75??

I think he meant GZ East and the associated MTR station. GZ East and GZ station should be 15-20 mins apart? Correct me if I am wrong...

Chris
Lolz. Late reply. Have not been following this thread.

Yeah. Its HKD 18.80 using the Octopus card.

The train ticket do cost RMB75... for the many times I take it. Maybe its the peak period?

GZ East and GZ Station around 10 MTR stops apart, which you've to take switch over at the Gong Yuan Qian MTR Terminal.

Anyone heading up to the Spring Canton Fair from 15-20 Apr (Liu Hua Lu Complex) and 25-30Apr (Pazhou Complex)? Hotel Prices and all is definitely very much higher during the fair.

Not to mention that THEY ARE ALL FULL! In fact, the receptionists at China Hotel (Marriot) advises me to BOOK EARLY while I was there on late Feb. Chances are that by now, the rooms will be all taken up.

Good luck for those still without rooms for the Trade Fair.

True. The rates for the remaining rooms at China Hotel and Garden Hotel are pretty ridiculous by now.

I'll be residing at an associate's place "Jin Bi Hua Yuan" for this coming trip. Cheong sessions will be limited to the massage parlors.

Not really. China hotel is only fully booked on the 25 and 26th April.

There are only 2 ways of getting hotels booked:

- Walk-in: Pay premium cutthroat rates - I do not suggest this method as chances are, there will be a long queue for rooms. Phone reservations will not be allowed because they will usually want you to pay up front for the no. of days you are staying.

- Thru Special-Guest Lists: Go thru a local company with good rapport with these hotels to secure you a booking. However, fair rates still apply. Just that your booking is secured.

I do not recommend anyone staying at Marriot as the prices are ridiculous. In fact, almost 80% of hotels in GZ are charging sky-high prices for it. However, the trend is facing a downward spiral as fair turnouts are lesser each year plus people are getting smarter by staying away from only to communte via trains into GZ at sheer ease plus much much cheaper prices.

JinBi Hua Yuan along Industrial Ave (Gongye Da Dao) ? It is at the southern most tip of Guangzhou. Decent apartments but must warn nothing to cheong except regular local ktv joints. Around 30-35 minutes drive to the trade fair. Good luck!

Yes. Its the one along Gong Ye Da Dao. For ktv, normally I'll take a cab to a KTV called tian niao, right after Rao Xi Bridge. Normally, give the one at Jin Bi Da Sha a miss.

For massage palours, there are Jin Long(cheaper - RMB 88 + 100(tips for BBBJ, BM or HJ [Make it 200 in tips, you can get a FJ, of cos depending if the ger wanna risk it.) and the one at the basement of Jin Bi Da Sha(Slightly most expensive)

For the distance to the trade fair, it doesn't really matter. I normally travel from Gong Ye Da Dao to Airport Road on my trips there. For now, I'm still deciding on the Phase I(Liu Hua Rd) or Phase II(Pazhou), or both.
