about the joke, i just feel sad as it reminds me of the current time where couple divorce so easily, in olden days 白头谐老 , no matter what also never divorce, at most go back mother house, the a while later reconcile again. divorce last time is a big sin. now like nobodys business
i guess your parents or grandparents who belong to the older traditional gen are like that n they r happier than the young gen even with little material enjoyment in the past. and i can see the tolerant wise compassionate traditional old values just makes life more harmonius and happy.
