bro i'm in same situation as u. every year i will lower my expectations of my the other half. as long as the girl has a good personality and can click with me i'm fine with it. appearances are secondary. despite i lower my standards, i have yet met my miss right.

a local female friend of mine told me once that local girls are indeed materialistic. as long as guys have money girls will flock to him so all i want to focus now is earn big bucks and let the nature takes it course

Actually for me also, have not had a gf in 20+ years of my life. lol another few more years i'm hitting the 30 mark liao.

Until recently i've got to know a girl, well yes she's pretty and has quite a few suitors and i'm just an average Joe and not rich at all.

Well in the process of wooing, initially every girl will reject at the beginning. So i'm actually quite thick skin and i announced loud loud to her that i'm going to woo her.

She thought i was mad LOL. Human beings at the end of the day are still Human beings, we have feelings. Just do things that go for her heart instead of her material needs.

4 of my gfs have gotten married in the last 2 years, and none of the guys they married were rich or had the 5Cs.

The girls still earn their own living, and the couples are very happy together. I know because we keep in contact, and just had a recent reunion over the december holidays. Only 2 of the hubbies has his own car, and they rent their homes.
