Works both ways. If a pipe is choked, we’ll need to see if any fluid is stuck. Once fluid is released, all willl be smooth. Most of the time before I repair a pipe, I will need to ensure my pipe is cleared.

There is a reason why my tummy is a bit bigger because pipe doctor will blow and see if air can go in
