Remember to take only Mydinh (green colour), saigon taxi (under Mydinh group), Vinasun or Funture Taxi (Black colour).
If no meter, don't take.

That day when I reached the airport, they tried to trick me.
They said no meter and charging me $150000 dongs.
I laughed and said I want meter taxi.
Now getting worse and worse.
Even lex and I met the same thing in Cho Ben Thanh.

I will be there on 14/04/2008.

Cam on nhieu nhieu.. anh khoe, lam viec nhieu lam, no time to meet up for coffee with you or even research on my pending business proposal (VN). I am trying to get some stuff for my 'ban anh'. I have not decided what to get, if I need the favour will let you know. The fees are very attractive, better than DHL or UPS. Actually there are a few options, 1) Minced pork noodles 2) Wanton Noodles 3) BBQ Stingray/Seafood 4) Teochew porridge. Anytime you want to meet up to have something, just SMS me and I will tell you where I am then we can meet up. Or we can meet up with Carrot for a short drink at Little VN? Think he will be back today.

This one I agree totally.. I was there the first time.. Fatal mistake I made was I told my veg the day and flight I was on, and there she was waiting for me at the airport. Just sharing my experience.. My HCM friend took to this roundabout (walked about 7mins from the airport, passed by the carpark). Then from there, we flagged a taxi, took VinaSun I think. She said this way is better, any method introduced by Carrot is to walk up to the Departure Hall and flag those taxis that just drop off customers.

Let me clear up the confusion. When you come out of immigration and walk pass the glass doors into the open air, you are officially in the open area where you have alot of taxi touts coming to you asking you for to take their taxi. They can do this becuase they belong the the Airport Authority (Airport Mgmt company) so they will try to make you take their taxis. These are a bunch of thieves.

When you take a short walk out, you will hit the first road. Ths is actually the pick up point for personal vehicles. What you have to do is to actually cross this small 2 lane road and you will have to go up on to a divider. This is the ACTUALL TAXI PICK UP POINT follow the arrow...you should be fine. look for the following TAXI companies. VINASUN, VINA TAXI, MAI LINH, TAXI FUTURE. Never ever be afraid to push the touts asside and say no. You have every right to say no. Have been to airport 4 times in the last 3 weeks. The most recent being only last thursday night to pick up my boss. No such thing as asking you to go the front and taking the taxi.

By the way, just met up with Bro Long for coffee at his workplace. We were discussing of a meeting at Little VN (JC 51 Coffeeshop). We just managed to confirm 3 person should be going.

The mission should start around 2200 hrs. And the cut-off timing of the mission should depend on the crowd. Any takers? Looking forward to meeting the elders ley, cant seem to make it for your monthly gatherings because I am in food business so weekends quite busy for me.
