(1) Do not secretly sneak out after your gf go to sleep at night
(2) Go to SR for the ancient ruins, and go to PP if you wanna see the "killing fields", a "museum that shows how the people are being tortured with "high tech" stuffs and murdered in a masssive scale.... so depends on what you wanna see.....
(3) bring / wear sunglasses, very dusty there
(4) wear think cotton clothes, very hot there now
(5) Rooms are affordable, as many flights from Europe has been cancelled due to the volcanic ash in Iceland
(6) Can bargain if go around town in their "tuk-tuk", short distance is normally about USD2 to 3
(7) Exchange rate is 1 USD = 4100 Riel (approximately)
(8) US dollar is as common as their local currency.
(9) Airport tax departing from their airport to come home to Singapore is USD25 per pax......Super exp! No local currency is accepted

Don't forget a cap, as bro bud man mention, it is very warm, you don't need water heater as the water is hotter than the heater, haha....
At Siem Reap, try Xone One frog congee, quite nice for Cambodian standard, lots of girls to see only because you with GF but just for eye candy.
Within 5 km Tut Tut not more than usd 2.
If you go Phnom Penh, try Luxor hotel at Riverside USD 35 per night or Town View at Street 111, USD 15, it is convenient to stay at Riverside because at night you can roam along the riverside road with all the Pubs and fine dinning. On weekend check out the Night Market.
You may want to check out Wat Phnom (Temple near Riverside), I think Phnom Penh name derive from there.

Jims place is not bad. If u planning to go Angkor war on yr own, I can intro u a tuktuk guy, good pricing. Just 10usd. He will bring u in. Drive u all over Angkor wat, he will tell what temple what temple. Honest guy. 1 day ticket into Angkor wat is $20, 3 day pass is $40. Massage is 5 usd, super cheap.
