we can't suddenly become a bad team over the summer, just because the loss of alonso... and rafa din turn into a bad manager overnite too...
any team and manager sure will go thru difficult times during their career life, just like u and me...

What else can we do?

No one jumps out of a plane just because the plane is going through rough turbulence. The only way out is to tighten your seat belt and bear through the journey till smoother days arrive.

Given Liverpool's reputation, I don't think we ever sacked any manager. Every non-performing manager is politely asked to leave right? Did my memory serve me correctly?

Like Houllier... asked to leave at the end of the season.
Evans quit the team right?
Shankly retired.
Kenny resigned.
Not sure about Paisley, Fagan or that Sour man (leave already always talk bad about us)

That's an euphemism for sacking bro. I believe Souness was sacked?

Like to say we are different from other clubs in keeping faith with our managers, but it ain't so in the last 20 years.

Sacking Rafa is one thing - getting another manager to change our tactics is the main solution.

We have to get a regular stike partner for Torres before he starts getting frustrated & Rafa does not play with 2 strikers which i seriously think we need to do rather than playing 2 attacking midfielders to support him.

But...we dont have the monies with the 2 yankees..Van could just come in cheap & good i believe so..

can forget about playing in Europe next season, the way they are playing right now. better think about how to re-group or re-organise for next season.

I personally feel it is a blessing in disguise if Liverpool dun make it to the CL next season. Without the CL money coming in...... the Yankees' financial situation will be jialat and maybe they'll be forced to let go of LFC

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

saw this news online ... not exactly a Liverpool discussion but more for yr reading pleasure. it's really a sad case ... for all you know, this Liverpool fan may well be a SB bro here. Strange fact was that he hung himself after Pool defeated MU in Oct n not during the recent run of wretched form.

may this fellow Pool bro rest in peace.

Gambling addict hangs himself
By Khushwant Singh

IN THE suicide note to his wife, father and close friends, Mr Teo Kok Hun, 33, confessed his addiction to football gambling.

The 33-year-old driver, also known as Zhang Guohan, admitted that this was the main reason why he was always short of money.

His favourite football team was Liverpool and he was wearing the club's red jersey when he hanged himself in the bathroom of his four-room flat in Tampines on Oct 26.

His 30-year-old wife, a travel agent, found his body at 7.30pm, when she returned home from work.

State Coroner Victor Yeo, on Tuesday, returned a verdict of suicide.

Strangely, Mr Teo's death came a day after Liverpool defeated archenemy Manchester United, after a series of four successful defeats to other teams.

WE can't assume his death got anything to do with the result of the Liverpool-Man U match. Just because he died wearing our jersey doesn't mean anything. Something non-football related could have happened that drove him to his tragic end.

Let's just leave him in peace. He'll never walk alone.
