Anyway, I should count my lucky stars having been there to share in the joy of the Reds winning 9 of their 18 English Championships, all 5 of their European Cups, all 3 of their Super Cups, 1 of their 3 UEFA Cups, 5 of their 7 FA Cups, all 7 of their League Cups & 10 of their 15 Charity Shields.

But seriously, 16 years is a long time to wait ... I could have gone through another round of compulsory education in SIllypore!!!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

had been reading d buzz here abt Pool winning d EPL. sorry for pouring coldwater, but me oso Reds fans but cant help bein a pessimist tt we'll at best be onli able to grab d 2nd spot. i thk a more realistic bet will b on Pool winning d ECL.

or y not if wanna punt, u may want to bet on Chelski to win d EPL. odds @ 2.10 dam good. onli 6 pts separating itslf n manure n everybody's starting to panic.

roman has got ample cash to burn. all he needs to do is to burn several more millions to bring in gd players to beef up d squad. current squad is not weak lah, actually i dun understd y critics like to put d entire blame on d missing Terry which caused d whole defence to crumble. Look at d defence, they r not at all d worst players in town!

But of cos manure needs to self destruct lah. current squad is too consistent liao - when rooney is off form, they can still depend on saha, scholes, ronaldo, giggs to do d job.

g'luck to all punting bros n specially to our beloved Pool agt Arse tomorr morning!

Uncle ... dun get me wrong.
It's never been about the money ... else I would not have stayed loyal to the Reds throughout the 90s. I even have a tattoo done during those years in the doldrums, to prove my eternal loyalty to LFC.

Well, I was a bigger boy than you then ... I started my allegiance at the beginning of 76 when LFC was the team wearing dark colours with thick white trimmings on the collar & sleeves. Black & white TV lah.
Irony was that the guy who got me hooked onto supporting LFC was none other than Kevin Keegan, but he left for Hamburg within the next year. Also dunno why I stayed stuck to LFC ... maybe becoz there wasn't Bundesliga on our TV until much later??

Well, I remember there was some Bundesliga stuff on TV in the late 80s or early 90s ... then, in more recent times on Cable TV too - maybe becoz it was cheaper but no local fan was interested.

Well, I dun think I knew anything about YNWA until I was way into my teens ... the real reason why I stuck by LFC was the way they play - the never-ending simple triangular passes (between Souness, Dalglish, Whelan, Nicol, Hansen, McMahon, Johnston, Lee etc ... )that make monkeys out of the opponents & the final tap-in (from Johnson or Rush) when the loopholes start presenting itself upon the opponents being stretched.
BTW, I married twice ... & both times, I used the YNWA theme as my wedding march. Can anybody else beat that??

Yeah bro, the triangular passes have now been uses quite frequently in EPL especially the winning teams wanted to waste more time at the ending time. Imho still prefer they uses the triangular trick to score a spectacular goal or even if the goal is not spectacular those passes is simply splendid. Den to waste time down the clock.

But in the 90s, u can see from live matches Pool a lot of times just tried the long passes & hope they will get sumting from there which i dun really agree. But as times goes by they are improving bit by bit too which is a relive to us pool supporter

Btw bro Kingeros, to practically SAYING YES twice need a lot a lot of courage siah! But to play YNWA theme both time. Ur damn hardcore man also too ur my hero kekeke! Will there be a 3rd time??? Nah joking nia bro!~!!

Wow those names really bring back fond memories ..... For me, I was like damn blu, didn't know nuts about the theme song at all until much much later. I don't even understand that the commentator meant when he said "The Kop".

For me, the reason why I fell in love with Liverpool was the players. Reason being they are skillful. Most important is becos they always play fair, don't cheat, and very gentlemanly. I dun really recall any of the past Liverpool team engaged in any foot-brawl. And of course, they always win. And esp when they beat Manure, those ass-holes.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Any bro got any opinion on the news that Javier Mascherano joining the Reds and not being able to play?

Duh?

Someone got his screws loose or wat? This one beats all logic man. What is Benitez thinking if it is true?

And if he can play, how does he fit in? And more importantly who will be out? I tot our midfield already got quite a number of players liao? Someone moving out?

Cheers
