So...I didn't like to leave things hanging there, hence making this one last update today. Gonna be busy this evening and tonight, so won't be updating again til tomorrow at the earliest.

I’m going to skip a lot of dialogue here and just go into descriptive storytelling:

The next day, I brought Rain (and invited Jenn for Rain’s emotional support) to see Genevieve. Rain related what Vijay had been doing since the Christmas party and how she had spurned his advances. Genevieve was firm but kind. She wanted to ensure that Rain hadn’t done anything to give any false impressions to Vijay. Rain said that she had said she didn’t want to go out with him countless times and that their last two meetings had been traumatising for her (the one at the lawn at the Law faculty and at the park). She’s afraid of what he would do and was nervous about going to classes without a companion.

At the end of the interview, we left Genevieve’s office and spent some time in the common room. Rain looked shaken but stable, at her recounting of events. Jenn looked very angry, yet for a change I knew it wasn’t directed at me. We talked some more and hung out, and could feel Jenn thawing just a bit towards me for saving her best friend.

Fast forward a few days later, Vijay was expelled from the college. It was all hushed up and the official line was that he left on his own accord. However, we knew better. Rain was asked if she’d like to report him to the police and press charges, but she was keen on avoiding issues so nothing was done. At least we got rid of him, with the warning that if he bothered Rain again we’d report him to the police for harassment and outraging of modesty.

A lot of people wondered why Vijay left the college that semester, but we didn’t tell. I never saw him again, and that’s for the best. They managed to get a new Resident Advisor to replace him, a very serious Sg man, a migrant to Australia.

Rain still insisted on going to and fro uni with me when our schedules coincided. She was more timid than ever, and wouldn’t even go to meals or hang out at the common room without someone accompanying her. Usually it’d be Jenn, Pree or myself. Sometimes she’d even sneak into my lectures if she didn’t feel particularly daring enough to return to college on her own. My coursemates (2 coursemates from Poly, so pretty good friends of mine) teased me about my little sister.

We settled into a routine, and sometimes I’d even stay back if my classes ended earlier so I could surprise her on her way out. The way her face lit up made it worth it. I think I was starting to have feelings for this little girl…

Anyway bro onlyhuman, it's not curry bashing per se, just so happened when I was there, Skan was the de facto bastard. I still can't remember "vijay"'s real name, but he was australian. His skin tone looked indian but can't be too sure, if you get what i mean.

I'll write the next installment(s) later today. Just a quick check this morning.
