although im like most of fellow supporters, sceptical of RH in the 1st place... it seems he is rather direct with his statements when compared to our previous boss, RB. Does RH celebrate when the team scores?? anyone watches fullham games previously??.. The ownership issue should be settled sooner rather than later. then we can all focus on the legue and NOT use that as another EXCUSE to say we are all distracted bullshit.. i would not mind the chinese investors buying into lfc, since the 2 yanks really have not kept to their words at all...

Don't copy and paste blindly leh. There will be 1001 transfer gossip and not even 20% comes close to the true position of the club. If we do get a rich owner then there will be 1 000 001 transfer rumours. Kindly read the disclaimer on LFC website. This story has been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club. |

really hope that something will come out of those bidding wars for the Reds.
the Reds and Roy really need those extra cash to build up his team for the new season as well as for the future.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Chinese government targets Liverpool deal
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...ngland&cc=4716 If what GUARDIAN reported comes with credibility, then a deal may be getting closer ...... 'The Guardian reports that CIC has spent the past fortnight selling shares in other companies to free up the precise amount of cash to clear Liverpool's debt. The report states: "In a series of trades since July 19, CIC has sold $558 million of shares in Morgan Stanley, equating to £351.4 million. That sum is equivalent to Liverpool's debt to the nearest decimal place, and is exactly the number insiders say has been quoted to interested parties as the sale price."' What the philosophist, wise old man RH says ........ (I LIKE!!! ) "But if you don't think that the team is doing as well as it should, then as a player you can do something about it. We want our big players doing well. If they are not, I shall be advising them to look in the mirror and not to constantly look for excuses elsewhere and blame the owners for not having spent £500 million. "I am sceptical about comments in which players are questioning the club's ambition. I would tend to throw that back at them and say that the club's ambitions rest in your hands, you're the ones playing for us and you're the ones people are paying to watch. "If we look at Real Madrid last season, they spent an absolute fortune on two or three players and it still didn't get them what they wanted. They didn't win the Champions League. They didn't get to the semi-finals and they didn't win their league or the Spanish Cup. I rest my case.''

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I really hope CIC gets the deal. No individual can be richer than a sovereign wealth fund! Some more it's China's sovereign wealth fund. I can see how badly the Chinese will want it. If they lose this bid, it's really a loss of face for the Chinese Government right? So many side-projects that can generate cash for Liverpool that it's hard to even fully list all of them down.
1. Companies can use Liverpool as the brand to target the Chinese market as a whole or different individual cities. Imagine Gerrard selling Toyota cars. Torres marketing Volvo (Geely). Skrtel marketing paint (tattoo boy). Carragher marketing an English-speaking school like British Council (ok this is a joke). 2. Setting up academies to teach 1 billion chinese how to play football. Imagine how much $$$ chinese parents will spend. Our network to spot young Chinese talent will be vast. Soccer is probably one of the few sports the Chinese hasn't excelled in. All we need is 1 Chinese superstar to be groomed in our Liverpool-China academy and future generations of chinese young kids will continue to flock there. 3. Tourism. I can't imagine how many tourists will fly to liverpool. The club should buy land to build hotels and use the revenue from these hotels and tours to re-invest into the team. Use the jobs created to negotiate with the local town council for a bigger stadium. 4. Change our attire brand from Adidas to say Li-Ning. Besides letting global companies into China, we can also let China companies reach the world through us. 5. I'm sure we can look forward to more transfer funds with a new owner but can you imagine the type of stadium the Chinese will build... Somewhere along the lines of Bird's Nest?

If they really brought liverpool And just 3% of the China population buy the jersey … 39,000,000 x ??? = $???,???,??? I think the consignment money generated could maybe enough to clear their debts liao or maybe still got balance … But provided they dont buy the pirated .... O well well btw ... we may be indirectly part of it as well http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liver...52-27002119/2/ Others that might be involved with Huang’s bid include Singapore’s two funds. The Government of Singapore Investment Corporation which was created in 1981 has assets of around £160bn, and Temasek Holdings which has around £84bn was created in 1974. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Team against FK Rabotnicki at Anfield..
Liverpool: Cavalieri, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Kelly, Jovanovic, Gerrard, Lucas, Cole, Pacheco, Ngog. Subs: Gulacsi, Aquilani, Kyrgiakos, Maxi, Wilson, Spearing, Eccleston. glad tat pacheco is given a chance & hope he grab it with both hands and nail down a more regular place in the team.. look like a 4-2-3-1... with gerrard n lucas in midfield, jova, cole n pacheco behind ngog... should be a comfortable win, but main priority is to let those players who missed the earlier part of the pre-season have a run out...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
as expected, we won comfortably 2-0, with ngog opening the score and gerrard added a second from the spot after ngog was fouled 5 min before half time...
should have scored many more with all the chances created... ngog had a lively game, scored with a nice header from cole cross, but missed too many chances incl. a 1-1 after some exciting interplay btw cole n gerrard, also tried to square to gerrard (when shooting is a better option) after being put thru by a brilliant pacheco pass, a free header from johnson cross... torres would have score at least 4 goals... kelly had a impressive game at LB... jovanovic is definitely a good additional on the left, work hard, some nice touches... but it's the interplay btw gerrard & cole tat is really a joy to watch. finally our no.10 plays like a no.10... can't wait to see gerrard, cole creating all the chances for torres... thou it's only against a very ordinary side, but it's still something to cheer abt lor...

Sad piece on our former player but also an indictment of the economy and football in Britain.
