poulsen-lucas midfield partnership again..!!
thot merieles is bought to play in the CM position and j cole suppose to play behind torres, but now merieles been always used behind torres and j cole being pushed to the flank..

a hard fought 0-0 draw..
overall, a slightly better performance than against sunderland, at least our players showed more heart today..
but our attckers still din create many chances and our defense was extremely shaky... and torres is unbelievably out of form (or is it his heart is not there)!!!??

Torres hardly had any service at all, except when Kuyt broke and rolled the ball to him in the box, but the goalie pulled off a great save.

Btw Raul was on the right wasn't he, and Cole on the left (or free). Whatever the formation, it didn't work.

watched the goaless bore til i dozed off midway. utrecht's quite a good side, created some prob for our defence while pool did not have many clear chances. had SG played, it could have been a diff story. still an acceptable result in a tough away ground.

yes, Torres looked jaded. juz like what Rooney's goin thru at the moment. at times i feel his poor form is contagious n affecting the whole team. should RH make the bold decision by dropping Torres for the next few games til he improves? RH may play Ngog n/or Pachecho upfront, supported by Kuyt or maybe even trying Kuyt as lone striker. it will be an unpopular decision to drop Torres but we need to try something bold before things turned worse.

Meireles has more game intelligence than Joe Cole. Maybe that's why RH prefer to put him there. What the hell was Lucas doing in the team? He is still clueless as to his role in the team and gets in everybody's way.

Btw, I did not know until yesterday that the fittest player in the whole LFC squad is...... Lucas ! Is that why Benitez and RH keep fielding him?

How can we tell that from his play? Passing the ball from side to side mostly. He seldom need to run at top speed right?
