I am not a great fan of Jose Mourinho, but I will certainly welcome him with open arms if he wants the job at WHL.
bro, as a spurs fan for several years like myself, this kind of poor form is nothing new to us. go for the entertainment that spurs provide, we are still spurs fans even if they go down to the lowest division.

anyway, spurs will go back to winning ways! it is spurs' destiny to play against clubs like ac milan and real madrid.

jose is no good for spurs. spurs dont need a big mouth.

Haha..nice

Spurs dismiss rumours of crisis meeting

Tottenham have dismissed claims they are to hold a crisis board meeting today following a report that Martin Jol has told them he is ready to leave White Hart Lane.

A spokesman for the club has insisted that no such plan exists despite Jol's role as head coach having been under the spotlight for some weeks.

Questions over the Dutchman's future have increased since the departure of Jose Mourinho from Chelsea last week which led Jol yesterday to insist he had the full backing of chairman Daniel Levy following the 1-1 draw with Bolton.

Jol also insisted Levy had described as 'rubbish' reports linking the north London club with the Portuguese with a view to him replacing the current incumbent.

He said: 'Daniel Levy phoned me to say it was rubbish and hoped that I would be with him next year. He is always good to me, always backing me.'

As well as Mourinho, Sevilla coach Juande Ramos has been linked to the job.

Ramos talked of an 'offer' last month but Tottenham consistently denied being in negotiations with anyone to replace Jol, whose position is still clearly shaky after another unconvincing performance at Bolton.

It followed the 3-1 home defeat by Arsenal and even a 6-1 trouncing of UEFA Cup minnows Anorthosis Famagusta on Thursday has done little to stabilise matters.

Tottenham are still in the Barclays Premier League's bottom three, having won just once in their first seven games.

Yesterday they lost the chance of a vital three points with another goal conceded from a set piece after Robbie Keane had put them ahead at the Reebok.

Just don't understand why he was so good last season and this season so badly done. Hope he could get it over and pick up the fighter spirit back.

Bro Castrol, please allow me to disagree with you.

True that Jose has a huge mouth, but he produces good results.
So to Alex Ferguson, Rafael Benitez and to a lesser extent Arsene Wenger. These guys are not only producing results, they are producing champions. This is what we want at WHL ....... medals and silverwares.

Empty vessels make the most noise simply don't apply here. The more that you can perform at the highest level, the harder you can bang the table.

EPL is exactly like our working life, if you can't perform, out you go. No one owns you a living. Why must we wait till x'mas every year to climb the table? Why not pocket the points early and able to relax a little when everyone else is tired?

One point I agreed with you is that even they are in division 3, I am still a loyal supporter.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

Tottenham chief executive Daniel Levy is ready to move for Jose Mourinho. Sporting Life reports today that the former Chelsea manager is Tottenham's number one target and that they are desperate to convince Mourinho to join.

Jose Mourinho is believed to have a clause in his agreement with Chelsea and Ambramovic that he cannot join another Premier League club this season.

But Tottenham will be ready to pay out Mourinho's compensation deal with Chelsea.

Jurgen Klinsmann was linked with a takeover at Tottenham, but the reports then was that Klinsmann thought Tottenham was "too small" to attract him. That might also be a reason for Mourinho to snub Tottenham.

Inter Milan, Portugal and Barcelona have all been mentioned as possible new options for Mourinho, but we all know that Mourinho likes to compete, so you never know what can happen.

With Mourinho in charge of Tottenham the Premier League would be even more exciting than it is today. English football needs a carachter like Jose, let's hope that Tottenham gets their man.

bro i can see where you are coming from. a trophy is what spurs need now, for all the money spent and for the long suffering spurs fans to have something to sing about. and jose certainly got the resume to show.

i dislike jose becos of his unsporting ways. his brand of accusations and "insults" should be banned from the sport just like racism. but then again, how else can people like jose and wenger satisfy the nosy reporters?

i will celebrate for a month if a manager like wenger or alex join spurs for one simple reason - their preference for attacking football. jose is more suitable to manage aston villa or newcastle, the "passing back" style.

but if jose really joins spurs, hey what the heck, i still have to love him right?

I think Jose is too full of himself as THE ONE.

I know that we are down at the moment, but for me, its not enough for me to say that we are in a total mess. We have been playing ok. Good nice attacking football. Our defence looks shaky but are much more composed than last season. I have been thru ups and down (mostly downs) as a Spurs fan but I could never label our current team as a total mess.

You just compare our current batch of players with the likes of Gary Doherty, Moussa Saib, Ramon Vega, Dean Austin, Stuart Nethercott, Chris Perry etc. And we almost got relegated twice in the 90s. I reckon since my time as a Spurs supporter, this current crop of players are perhaps the best assembled. The 80s team is one of the reasons why a i support spurs with the likes of Hoddle, Villa, Ardiles, Clive Allen, but we also had dodgy players like Steve Hodge in that team. Late 80s we had Lineker, Gazza, Mabbut but we also had shite players like Steve Sedgley and David Howells. 90s we had Ginola, Sir Les and Sol but we also had Dean Austin, Ramon Vega and Dean Richards.

So what i am trying to say is, right now, we have a very good team. its just a matter of getting things right in certain areas and to get them to gel as a unit. If we can overcome that, we could fight for a top 4 place. But as for now, I dun see that coming as yet.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur - the Pride of London

I have supported Spurs sinces Hoddle days....and gets very frustrated every time they lose after going ahead....

Cannot understand why Jol don't play Defoe....especially after his European goals.....I think buying Darren Bent is a mistake...

If football is played on paper.....Spurs actually have a good team....

It was a much needed win for us against Boro. Too bad Mido didnt play. If he did, it would be great to taunt him through out. What matters most now is the weekend game. Hope we can overcome our league performance and chalk up a win.

next match is a tuesday morning match at 3am against aston villa in white hart lane. 3 precious pts for spurs coming soon!

actually i rather see spurs give up the league cup. last season spurs was so packed with UEFA cup, FA cup and league cup. in the end didnt even win a saucer.
