Ya actually I also prefer landed compare to condo, as bigger space and you can do some plantation.

Actually yes 100% resident, especially after decided to move from bkk to cnx already prepare to live here till mati. ...... unless do sometime wrong and get caught, then prepare to get kick off by my tigeress

House and land near city expensive, only got small garden place for some outdoor table and chairs, too small for plantation.....unless buy further from town will be cheaper and much bigger land.

hi bros, i'll be making my virgin trip to cnx on feb 18 till 22.. just a couple of questions.. which hotel will be a better choice: centara duangtawan or lai-thai? will it be advisable to join those 1 or 2 nites trekking tours since will be there for 4 nites? any reputable tour grp to recommend?

will be scrolling this thread for places to cheong.. any bros here wanna cheong together?

Lai-thai is just a guest house and centara is a 3 star hotel... all depends on your budget mate....

only one place that I would suggest... sayuri

i've checked both the facilities, almost the same like pool, wifi, safe, airport tsf etc.. other than cost, wats the reason not taking guesthouse? any safety issues??

Like bro ppoon mention Centara is 3 star hotel and location is right in the night market so best for new comer to explore tourist area. Most tour companies are ok in cnx, just check around for better price and compare before u book.

For just 4 days stay, can book 1 day tour to visit golden triangle day tour etc and the rest of 3 days rent a bike to move around will be best option.

agree Sayuri with more choice, and also some other MP sometime can find gem if go at the right time.

Renting Motorcycle in Chiang Mai
Anyway I run a bike rental company here in Chiangmai near nimman/superhighway junction, offering one of the best bike rental rate in town (and also the only company that offer lost and accident insurance for just 30 baht/day, so u will not get scam by some bike rental company claiming that bike damage etc).

Any bros who need to rent a motorbike (must have sg driving license ya) please pm me

New 2013 Fino or Scoopy just 180 baht/day or 150 baht/day for abv 4 days rent.......plus insurance 30 baht/day and excess of just 5000 baht if bike stolen.....pay up to 12 million baht if damage someone Ferrari etc protection

Sayuri caters to all guys needs. Every shape of woman also have.

Just to share, as usual before new year did some tamboon to wat sayuri, so happen that my favorite girl 444 is back on action. Only can find her during high season. For those in CNX, and complain that sayuri is no good, go and try 444, then compare with the rest.

But be prepare to wait for long time, as her customer gaolat. You dont get chance to see her sitting down at the fish bowl. Ask papasan Tak.

As for those who wants to roam around with bike, do PM Pii happy, as fellow Singaporean, you can 101% trust him. Other dealers may have some hidden thing unless you can speak thai.

It's been more than 8 years since I last visited Chiang Mai.
Nimanhaemin Road must be very prosperous now.

One thing bad about visiting Chiang Mai from other countries is air tickets are more expensive as lesser traffic.
