Clean sheet is not much of an advantage in the European arena...... away goals are more important.... if Sparta scores one goal at Anfield..... Liverpool have to score 2 otherwise Sparta goes through the next round.

Of course, my point is we have conceded 1 goal in 5 games now (and an offside goal), and 3 consecutive away clean sheets.
Before the window, we had very little chance in Europe - just Torres and he can't play 2 games a week. Now with 2 strikers, albeit one cup tied and 1 coming back from injury, we have more options.
Good to see also Cole play his first game under Kenny. Let's not write him off yet.

exactly what i meant, we are playing a team w/o any competitive games since december as they are on winter break and us being a better side and match fit chose 2 play defensively (we are not playing barcelona for god sake), no doubt we kept clean sheet but dont u think we should go for away goals 2 kill the tie?????
also, since we are only involved in this competition which we can win realistically and the BPL, we should play our best team in every game now instead of rotating players to keep our momentum going 2 challenge 4 a champions league spot, remember this is the biz end of the season liao, KD should not use the europa league for experimentation anymore....................YNWA
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Guys I think KD knows the suitation well than any of us
Our squad is not as strong as Man U Arsenal Chelsa or even HotSpur so in order to avoid injury to the key player he choose to play fringe player at the same time make them play n improve so if things happen to the key player they can step up n fill their role
Of cos we love to see them score as many as possible for both home n away but we have to bear with it n hope things will improve for the next season

Don't forget the weather; it was horrid and hard to adjust to.
Exactly. If we had gone all gungho and lost 1-0, we will be making things hard for ourselves in the second leg.
bro, that is negative thinking, we have players like kuyt, meireles, johnson , ngog (who is our top scorer in europe) and not forgeting big soto who can score from setpieces, those goals that we score away against wolves and chelsea is proof of these, it is how we want to approach the game whether home or away. I always believe that if u dont shoot, u dont score or if u dont buy the ticket, u will never win the lottery.
of course KD knows the situation the best, i am juz expressing my opinion as a concern fan..........we should have a stable team (no more rotating unless key player is injured) now the trf window is over and games are running out fast 4 us to secure that champions league spot which is so crucial 4 us next season to attract good players and to persuade existing players like reina to stay...............YNWA
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Bro NZL97 I do agree wz u after all in our heart we really love them to do well in all games but sometimes football is not 1+1=2 so simple we can beat team like Chelsa but can draw or lose to team like Wigan etc etc
I oso dun like to rotate too much but we do hv fringe player eager to proof
KD must have weight the pros n cons which is more important league game or Europe game it's not easy for him
We hv some under perform players , a captain play with whole hearted but ordedi 30 years , a most expensive English player injured n not fully tested n not forgetting a caretaker which not yet appointed fully so we need to pray hard things will goes well the next season
Hopefully the new owner able to turn things around like Wat they did in United States

You say Kenny knows best, end off all your posts with YNWA, that you have positive thinking - then pls support the Reds and the manager in that the club is doing its best to salvage the season and prepare for the next.
It's been a difficult two seasons and thats at least brought some unity to the fans. Now we just had a draw and are we gonna start bickering with the manager and team now? We had a draw away but its not the end of the world.
We are all concerned for the club, so YNWA behind the club pls.

of course i am behind the club as i have supported the reds for > 20 years, we have fought so hard to move up the league table and we are definately capable of securing that champions league spot, juz need that additional effort and push from the manager & players which all concern fans luv 2 see, even if we may not succeed but at least we try (that is the message i want 2 relay 2 KD).
anyway i shall end this discussion here as we are all true reds and want 2 see the club do well, thks to bro rahl and bro sh149 for your invaluable comments........cheers!!..........YNWA
