Any ghost stories to share?

My ex and I booked a package to Krabi. Upon arrival at the resort, we checked into the room. While on the way there with our bellboy, my ex commented on the room's location,

Ex: "Hopefully not at the corner whereby the staircase is next to the room."
Me: "Why cannot leh?"
Ex: "You didn't know? They said the sia qi hen zhong (means something like fierce spirits corner)"
Me: >.<

We walked along the corridor at level one, walking further and further away from the resort lobby, swimming pool and all. I thought to myself, hosay! get some quiet time to ourselves. We walked past the first staircase and first room next to that...no chance liao...this is what I thought.

Soon, bellboy led us to our room. It is the last room along that row...and there's a staircase next to it!!!

I tipped the bellboy and closed the door after him. The usual checking of the room, taking pics and posting to Facebook etc happened. I causally mentioned that the entire room felt eerie as the floor tiles to some parts of the wall are green in color. My ex brushed that comment aside.

Soon sunset and we decided to go for our dinner. At this time, the TV was on and suddenly the room blackout! I stood near the balcony while my ex was on the bed. She screamed a short scream and went silent. The entire room was pitch black though there's little sunlight from the balcony. I couldn't see where was my ex then...


I decided to walk to the phone. I picked it up and the tone was "too too too..." instead of the usual "toooooo....". I hit on the flash button few times, put down and lift up the handset few times....all tone was the same. I felt a chill down my spine...decided to trace the phone cable to wall socket and unplug. NNB!!! No light how to see? I asked my ex to go to the room main switches as the bedside ones died. She was scared stiff and said she couldn't move...

I took out my iphone and turned on the flashlight app. Saw the tele-wall socket
and reconnect back. Worked! Called the reception and asked them to send a tech down immediately.

"zzzZZZzeeeeeezzzz...." phone's died. I was too shocked to say anything. Ex asked what happened. Finding no response from me, she asked if I am ok.

Silence...(for like minutes).

We are damn freaked out by now. I went to her shortly. We sat on the bed in total silence waiting for the tech to come. Seemed like forever! Flashlight app doesn't help as the big mirror in front of us reflected the light and.... >.<

I off the app. Pitch black by now. No more sunlight, nothing! I asked my ex if she can open the door (quite stuffy now as no A/C too) while I make another call to the reception.

I took up the phone, "too too too..." Hit the flash, "too too too..." heart sank. Told my ex to open the door immediately...at least she can run out if she wanted.

I said to her "Let's get out now!" Grabbed her hand and left.



The end result is that, that night, we were upgraded to the Family Suite...largest room available and right closeby to the main hall/reception overlooking the pool and all.

By the way, the tech came back with us to help us take our belongings. His face was classic, no further explanations required when he witnessed the phone incident plus the electrical (lights and all) going on and off. Initially, he thought it was the keycard...

This thread reminds me when I was in NS back in the early 80's posted to a unit inside Changi Air Base; as an instructor after passing out from SISL.

Our duty is to teach these teenage trainees the military aspects, while civilian teaches them academic & technical subjects. These trainees will pass out and become regulars. 
Some of you may have guess which unit is that.

Our HQ is a double storey bungalow, with a hall; and one side faces a guard post. The ground floor holds the   armskote room & store; and the second storey is where our office is located. While the rear is a jungle.

Frankly, it's a peaceful area, and the next building is probably about 50m away; and not in use. 

COS duties were part & parcel of my duties; accompanied with a trainee. We were to man the office through the night.

On that particular night, the trainee didn't turn maybe because of miscommunication; so thought what the heck, should be no issue after all it's only a night.

Oh boy, how wrong I was. Locked the doors after the armskote was cleared at about 11pm. At about 3 in the morning while asleep on the sofa, I heard an unmistakable sound of footstep climbing up the staircase, clak, clak... like leather boots with steel studs.

My hair stood on ends, and instead of investigating, I pull the blanket and covered myself. It was pretty scary. After a couple of minutes, the sound went off.

My first reaction was to throw open the window facing the guard post; and yell for help should the need arise.

I didn't tell anyone of my experience in case they laugh it off as silly. 

As I recall, the previous day, the trainees had to dig foxholes. As training areas were limited, we chose a spot about 100m away from the HQ. After digging to a depth of 70cm, suddenly the trainees shouted,"Sir, sir, we dug out a British helmet". My first reaction, what if a body appears and there will be lots of questions. So I told them to close the hole and dig another spot.

Could I have accidentally released his soul and he decided to haunt me? 
Guess I will not and don't want to know to this very day.

Fortunately ghost can't be seen by normal human. Some people with special eye can see it. Some camera can capture its image.

My dog don't bark for no reason. During every Chinese 7th month, can hear him bark a few times at night every night.

My old old house, I was staying at one of the lower stories... Then every 7th month, we can hear opposite block first floor de dogs bark till super fierce... No doubt the dogs always bark, but 7th month they really bark more 'xiong'...

Here goes....

Just before my dad pass away, a family friend had a premonition about his death via a dream. She was too scared to tell us but after the funeral, she told us about the dream she had about my father's passing.

I can't remember the full details of the dream, but it definitely not a good dream.

The very first time I started to be able to see "them" is when I was around 7 if I never remember wrongly.

Back then, I am still sharing a room with my elder brother and one night when I wake up to go pee, I saw standing on top of the CRT tv in our room, a black shadow figurine. I thought my brother is playing a prank on me so I went ahead to the toilet. After finish my business, when I come out from the toilet, I found that the figurine was still there and from the body posture, has turn and was facing my direction.

Since in my mind, I am thinking is my brother so I just call out to "him" and said you are not scaring me. Immediately the figurine disappear. I thought my brother fell onto the floor. When I get back to my bed, my brother was sound asleep in his bed.

Back then was still young so I just brush it off and when back to sleep.

And the story about Buddha I promised last time.

My grandpa past away 5 years ago. He has battled cancer for quite sometime now. On the day where he past away, I was the last one to rush to hospital upon my mum calling me saying that my grandpa might be gone anytime. So ask me to come and see him for the last time.

When I reach hospital, I managed to speak to my grandpa and shortly after, he past away peacefully. The funny thing is my 1st uncle brought meat bun for everybody as a lot of us haven't had our meal yet. My mum was a very devoted Buddhist and for some reason she insist that the meat bun to be brought out of the room where my grandpa has just past away. Immediately after we brought the meat bun outside the room, the entire room was filled with very fragrant jasmine smell. But some of my relative can't smell it. My mum told me that the smell is due to Buddha coming and fetching my grandpa to paradise.

Almost as sudden as the smell appear, it vanish without a trace. So although I never did have the honor to see Buddha himself but some of us in the room did sense his presence.

This is what my frd told me:

She & her frd were at kbox marina square 1 nite. After singing session ended, when they are about to pay at the counter. The staff told them they had to pay 3 persons share. My frd & her frd looked at each other & say "they are only 2 of us how come we have to pay 3 person share?"

The counter staff shown them the CCTV and point at 1 corner "there.. 1 of ur frd is sitting there". My frd & her frd both shocked & LL pay 3 person share but they know the "frd" that that staff pointed out was..... the ghost!!

Here's another of my encounter.

This one is not as scary just plain weird.

Back in 1997 I was in secondary two. Same with how I always reach camp early, I also reach school early too. Usually I will reach school at around 5.30am that's when the school janitor will open the gate. Then usually I will go up to level 2 corner toilet and do my business there before going to the assemble area to do some reading. (Not books but comic Lolz)

This particular day, I reach school at same time. As usual I go to 2nd floor and to my surprise, there is someone in front of me walking to the toilet as well.but one funny thing is that the student is carrying a very old fashion school bag and his uniform is the older kind . Those earlier version of my school uniform.

Not suspecting a thing I just follow him and he enter the toilet first. The toilet is at a corner and there is no way that anyone could have went past me without me noticing. And when I enter the toilet, it was empty. No sight of the student who went in front of me. I looked around and even push open the cubical door just to make sure he is not hiding in one of it. All the door pushed open without anyone inside.

So I conclude that that student is a ghost. Too bad my tummy is aching so I just say "I am only here to use the toilet, you don't disturb me and I don't disturb you"

Done my business and then leave the toilet.

After this, I didn't see him anymore.

More encounter to come next time. There is one at the Cathay near plaza sing. Share with you guys next time.
